Chapter 25: A Prank on Bender

You and the Planet Express crew got into your positions. Then you short-circuited his main core by placing your robot hand behind his neck. He woke up. 

"...Huh?" He looked around as everyone stared at him. 

"What the hell is the matter with you, you sly minx." The Professor said, raising an eyebrow, and playfully smacked Bender on the side of his head. 

"Oww! What was that for?!" Bender demanded. 

"That was for being a love-sick robot!" Amy answered, smirking. 

So far the prank was working. 

"I don't get it. You meatbags are so confusing. I haven't changed a bit!" Bender retaliated. 

You made yourself think of something and your cheeks began to flush. You did this on purpose, though.  

"Yah you have, mon." Hermes mumbled, smiling. 

Bender looked desperately from person to person, trying to figure out what was going on. 

"Okay, guys, this really isn't funny. Fry, what the hell is the matter with these dirtbags?" Bender asked Fry. 

Fry chuckled at how the prank was going so far, but then disguised it. You sighed in relief that Fry didn't give it away. 

"Man are you love-sick! You are more like a human than I thought... like a girl human that is." Fry laughed. 

Bender squinted, his eyes turning into slits. 

"What the hell is going on!" He then looked at you and saw your blushing face. Bender stood up and sat on the couch. 

Leela put her hands on her hips. "I didn't know that robots could love humans so much." Leela rolled her eyes. 

Bender's eyes widened. 

"What are you talking about?!" Bender was starting to freak out. 

The prank, so far, was working really really well. 

"You were sleeping." Zoidberg stated plainly. 
"And you were dreaming," Fry added. 

"How did you know I was dreaming?!?!" Bender demanded. 
"Well for one, you were talking in your sleep... about a certain someone," Leela told him.

"It was very cute!" Zoidberg said, which made you blush even more, for real this time. 

You were beginning to think that this prank wasn't such a good idea, but you continued with it anyway. Plus, the Planet Express crew seemed to be enjoying themselves. 

"Wait who was I talking about?" Bender was so confused you were worried his systems might malfunction. 

 "(Y/N) obviously, and how you loved her so much, yadda yadda yadda," Fry said dreamily. 

You morphed into a cat so Bender couldn't see your red face. You were starting to really regret this prank. 

"Wow, you guys must think I'm that desperate. Newsflash - I'm not." Bender crossed his arms.
"What a horrible thing to say! (Y/N) is fine! How dare you!" Leela reprimanded. 

"She must've hacked into my system or something. I would never do that! C'mon Fry, back me up here!" Bender said, exasperated. 

"Unfortunately, I saw it with my own two eyes." Fry said sadly.
"Me too." Leela added.
"But you don't have two eyes." Bender reminded her.
"Oh right. Then I saw it with my own eye." Leela rolled her eye annoyedly.

"You guys must be, uh, hallucinating! Because... uh... I'm not that love sick! Hah! I don't talk in my dreams... you're all high or something!" Bender stammered, his panel turning red. 

Bender's fan began to overheat again - he was clearly very embarrassed. He didn't meet anyone's eye for a long time. He then realized something and a devilish grin made it's way up his circuitry.

"Wait- if I did do it, then it's time to do one thing - KILL ALL OF YOU SO THERE'S NO EVIDENCE!" He growled and lunged towards Leela. Leela got in her fighting stance and the two people began to fight.

"Fight fight fight fight fight!" Fry yelled. Amy smacked him on the back of his head. "This is so dumb! All for (Y/N)'s sake!" Amy then stopped short and realized she had let too much on. No one seemed to notice though.

Leela smashed him to the floor, causing his beer bottles to spill on the floor. Bender got angry and punched Leela in the stomach.

"Stop!" You yelled and leaped between the two brawling Planet Express members.

You turned to look at Bender, your face red with embarrassment as you confessed.

"It was all a prank Bender! I... I just wanted to prank you to see your reaction! I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have done it but... I guess I couldn't resist?

Bender and Leela stopped fighting.

"You made all of that UP?!" he scowled.

"Yeah... everyone kinda helped I guess...." You answered sheepishly.
"Sorry Bender. It was funny while it lasted though!" Fry nodded. 

"I thought you guys were better than this." Bender said softly. It was the worse kind of anger - the one that was quiet and made you more scared.

"Apparently not." Bender finished, looking up to glare at you. His eyes flashed red and you stepped back as he started to slowly walk towards you.

"You'll pay for this. I'll make you pay." Bender said eerily, his hands clenching into fists. His eyes retained a dark red color.

"Run!" Amy whispered. You froze.

"Run for your life!" Amy whispered again.

And you ran.
