JORDAN'S POV

I haven't been out of my bedroom at Jason's house all day. I'm still pissed off at him for making me stay with him. Why would he threaten my own fathers life when he helped save his? I don't understand him.

One minute, you kiss him and fireworks are exploding, then the next I hate his guts. I'm so confused about my emotions.

My stomach growled a loud growl as I laid on the bed. I'm starving.

I got up quickly and walked to the kitchen. As I opened the fridge, I heard footsteps coming my way. I turned around to see Jason.

Damn. He looked perfect. His tanned muscular body taunted me.

He walked closer to me, but I backed up against the counter. No, I cannot do this. I can't give in to him.

We were inches apart when he reached for a piece of my hair and tucked it behind my ear. I flinched only because I thought he would hit me or something. Jason's brown eyes stared into mine, waiting for a move.

"I want you. Right now. Right here." He breathed heavily into my ear.

My throat felt like it was swelling, causing me to gulp. My stomach was no longer wanting food. The butterflies were too much of a distraction.

I couldn't help myself. I have in and kissed him roughly. His hands found my waist and held me close.

After a moment of exploring each other with our tongues, he hoisted me up onto the counter, leaving kisses down my neck. I moaned at the pleasurable feeling of his lips against my skin. Jason slowly slid my shirt off, exposing my bra.

"You're beautiful." He kissed me again, this time more gently.

He thinks I'm beautiful? This only made me weaker.

Just when it was about to get really heated, the echo of the front door opening filled my ears.

"Jason! Are you okay?!" Max's voice called out.

He pushed me away. "Yeah, I'll be there in a second!"

I grabbed my shirt from the floor and put it back on.

"Max and I have important things to talk about, so don't bother us." Jason walked off, leaving me there speechless.

Don't bother us? What the hell does that mean? When have I ever bothered them?

I haven't seen max since we left Florida. I wonder what he's been up to. Yknow, besides helping us find information about Jessica.

I silently went back to my room after grabbing a sandwich. It's been so long since I've actually had a real meal. Jason isn't the cooking type of guy.

I could hear them talking in a low voice, but I can't make out what they're saying. Oh well. The less I know, the better, right?

My dad doesn't want me getting too involved with Jason's work anyway. It's too dangerous, and I can't afford to get caught or die.

My lips started to tingle as the thought of him kissing me came back into my mind. I ran my fingertips over my bottom lip, smiling at the thought.
