My breathing uneven as I saw her lay on the floor unconscious. Blood rushed from her head as tears fell. "Oh my god. Destiny!" I grabbed her hand finding her pulse.

"Call an ambulance!" I cried as I tried to wake her up. By now, i was covered in her blood. Nathan and Jack helped me up and hugged me. The police officer went over to where Chloe's cold body laid.

Stacy came towards me and brought me into a hug. I couldn't help but break down into tears. My childhood best friend might die. My hands were shaky as I cried into Stacy's shoulder. "It's okay. Everything will be okay."

Then I remember...

"Where's Joel?" I asked as I wiped my hands on my jeans. Stacy looked down and sighed. "Stacy where is he!"

"He's in the back of the ambulance." She softly spoke. I pushed passed through everyone to the front of the door. Flashes went off as cameras were shoved in my face. I pushed them away and ran towards the ambulance.

There he sat with his arm out as the nurse checked his bruised wrist. He looked up at me as his eyes began to water. "You're okay." I whispered and ran up to him. He cried in my shoulder and hugged me tight.

"It was horrible." He said between sobs. I fought against my tears but some managed to escape. I had to be strong for him.

"I-I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I shouldn't have broken up with you." I whispered the last part but he still caught it.

He let go of me and looked into my eyes. It was dark by now but the nearest light post illuminated the spot we where. I looked around and noticed the nurse had put the equipment away and took notes on the clipboard.

Joel placed his hand on my cheek and rubbed it with his thumb. "It's not your fault, Miriam." He softly spoke.

I gulped and looked down but Joel placed his finger on my chin to look at his beautiful brown eyes. God how I missed having him in my arms and see those beautiful eyes sparkle.

We both leaned in until we were interrupted by Patty who was out of breath. I pulled back and looked down. "Oh Joey. You're okay." She said as she embraced her son.

Emanuel, Gabriel, Israel and his father appeared as tears of joy escaped. Joel's father brought them into a group hug as they sniffed. I stood there a bit awkward.

Patty looked up and they all pulled back. They were now staring at me up and down. I looked down and realized I was covered in blood and wearing a bullet proof vest. I half smiled and took the vest off.

"Thank you Miriam." Patty said as she embraced me into a hug. I was taken back but hugged her back.

"I-I don't know why you're thanking me for." I spoke. She let go of me and stared into my eyes.

"For rescuing my Joey." My heart broke into pieces as images of Destiny bleeding came in mind.

I shook my head and wiped a tear. "You shouldn't be thanking me. If it wasn't for Destiny-" I stopped mid sentence not wanting to finish it since I couldn't imagine Joel being shot or dead. "I-I have to go check on her actually. She was shot and might not make it." I said as my voice came out shaky.

They nodded and I began to walk but I got stopped by Joel. "I'll go with you."

I shook my head. "You need rest." He let go of my hand and nodded. I walked towards where the whole chaos was. The helicopter illuminated the house as the police cars began to leave. The officer stood in front of the camera and talked about the situation. He looked up and saw me. "In fact, if it wasn't for this young lady, we wouldn't be here."

The camera men turn their cameras towards me. "We owe it all to detective Destiny Leigh. She never gave up on the case." I said gulping. I looked towards the other ambulance and saw them connecting different wires to her. Without excusing myself, I ran towards the vehicle.

"Can I ride with her?" I asked. One of the men looked at me and sighed. "Please. I'm her only family here." He nodded and helped me up. I sat down as the doors closed. I looked over at her unconscious body as the vehicle's engine roar.

Dios, por favor no te la llevas.

"Former CNCO band member and actor, Joel Pimentel has been rescued. It has been reported that Pimentel had been kidnapped for a whole week by formar costar, Chloe Jackson. Actress and Ex girlfriend Miriam Gomez had the answer to this case. Apparently Pimentel's kidnaper was the one who told her anonymously." The blonde reporter stated as she hold her microphone. They showed scenes as my heart sunk. "The one behind the case was British detective Destiny Leigh who had singers Yoandri Cabrera and Stacy Moreno in the case with the help of British detectives Jack Lee and Nathan Miles. Sadly, detective Leigh is in the hospital as she continues to fight for her life."

I looked around the waiting room to find a nurse but there was none around. Hearing the reporter repeat everything hurt me so much. I wanted to turn the television off.

I felt a tap on my shoulder making me jump. I turn to find Ally with Stacy and Maria. "I brought you clean clothes." She said handing them to me. Seeing my three best friends together here for me made me smile. I got up and brought them into a hug.

"I love you guys." I said making them chuckle.

"We love you too." They said in union. Although we were in the darkest moment ever, having them all back together like the good old days made me feel safe.

We pulled back and I headed to the restroom. As I walked towards the restroom, I stopped mid track as I admired every new born through the window. The overly excited abuelas, dads and siblings smiled from ear to ear. I couldn't help but smile wide.

Joel would've been in this situation instead of the one he was.

My smile faded as I felt a lump in my throat. I continue waking until I found the restroom. I changed into my clean clothes and stared at myself through the mirror and noticed how dark and deep my bags were. I looked pale as well. I sighed and washed the dried blood off my hands and forehead.

Now that everything's falling into place, will everything be the same? Will Joel and I go back together?
