49. Trouble

Hayden POV 🌴:

  "Will you marry me?" I asked A and she said "Yes, of course!"

  She wrapped her arms around me and then she kissed me strongly. I felt so happy I placed the ring on her finger and picked her up.

  I spun her around.

  I held onto her so tight I couldn't believe I have gotten her to marry me.

  "Hayden, I..." She said and then everything went dark.

  My eyes started to flutter open as I tried to realize my surroundings. I blinked and blinked to get the blur out of my eyes. 

  I was just dreaming.

  I looked around and realized that A was gone.

  Then, I saw a note on the bed beside me. It was A's hand writing. I read over it a few times. It made me smile when she said that she loved me. I don't know, but it gets me every time. Every time she says she loved me it made my heart skip a beat.

  It was special to me.

  She's special to me.

  She's the most amazing girl I ever met and I can't help but think about her every second of every day.

  I layed back in bed and closed my eyes.

  I imagined that A was right next to me and I was hugging her tightly.

  I soon started to drift off into sleep.

  I woke up the next morning and still no sign of A. She said she would be back before twelve last night and it's not like her she would've at least texted me.

  I got my phone and typed "A...where are you? Are you ok? I've been worried about you."

  I waited for a response, but I didn't get any. I put the phone away and thought she will let me know if she needs me. Maybe she needed space and I will give it to her.

  I scratched the thoughts out of my mind, and I checked what time it was.

  I realized that I had to start getting ready for my classes.

  I quickly got in the shower and threw on my clothes rushing out the door.

  A few minutes later I was in my class and I was close to being late. If you're late to a college class you will get locked out and you would not want to be that guy...trust me.

  I couldn't really focus on much of what the professor was saying.

  I was so worried about A.

  I love her and I couldn't bare with myself if something bad happened to her.

  My phone vibrated in my pocket.

  I took it out slowly trying to not let the professor see it.

  It said "I'm OK. There was a family emergency and I won't be back for a while. XOXO 😔." I knew something was wrong because A has never texted me like that before. This wasn't her.

  Something was up.

  I have to figure out what before I lose her.

  I'm not going to let that happen ever.

  I rushed out of the class and ran to my dorm. I read over the text message again and I realized that Aria had said "XOXO" to me in many texts.

  I read over our text messages together.
