52. Proposal

Alexandra's POV 🌴:

"Hayden!"

I got home from my class exhausted.

I called for Hayden again, but I'm guessing he wasn't back from his errands yet. I went to the bathroom to take my shower because I felt dirty.

I stripped off all my clothes and put my hair in a bun as I checked my phone.

I saw that Hayden texted me. He said "Wear something elegant I'll be there soon I promise." I smiled at this and got in the shower.

I thought about what my surprise might be, but I couldn't figure it out. Maybe it's another necklace or he has news to tell me. I know that I have to tell him about me being pregnant, but I have to take another pregnancy test to be sure.

I finished my shower and took a pregnancy test.

I paced the bathroom for three minutes until the test was finished and it came back positive again.

I took a gulp as I breathed heavily.

I stared at the pregnancy test for a while until I heard a noise and Hayden started calling me. I threw the pregnancy test away and buried it in tissues as I wrapped myself in a towel.

I walked out and saw him looking around for me.

He saw me and smiled.

I smiled back and he said "Look at you you're so beautiful." Hayden walked over to me and gave me a peck. "I took my shower before I left all I need is to change, so all I need to do is change. You still have about an hour left" he said giving me another soft kiss. I forced a smile and followed him into the room. I went through my closet and looked for a beautiful dress.

  I found this perfect blue dress.

  I saw that Hayden had left the room I wanted to surprise him.

  I forgot that I had this dress.

  It was my mom's dress. My dad gave it to me because he wanted me to have a piece of her. He told me that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and that he fell in love with her. The dress was from when my dad proposed to her. I guess it holds some history, but it was perfect for tonight.

  I put on the dress and straightened my hair.

  I went out into the living room where Hayden was waiting and then he looked at me. He just kept staring at me and it made me blush a lot.

  He got up and came towards me.

  He held my hand and said "You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." I smiled as he leaned in to kiss me and I kissed him back with all my might.

  "I'm not sure I still want to go out tonight after seeing you in this dress" he said and I thought he was being serious.

  Soon enough he started laughing and I did too. "I'm kidding this is an important night and we need to make it a memorable one. Let's go before we miss our reservation" he said giving me a peck. I followed him out the door as we got into the car and drove to the restaurant. The entire ride I could feel his eyes on me, but I continued to look the other way. I felt really nervous and I don't know why. I shouldn't have to be nervous around him. I kept my cool and after a while we got there.

  Hayden came around to my side and opened my door.

  I said softly "You didn't have to do that I can open a door" I giggled and he laughed too. "I know, but I'm going to take care of you tonight enjoy it." He winked at me and he put my arm in his as we walked in.
