An Uncomfortable Meeting

We spent the entire morning in bed, laying with each other, making love, or just talking.  We had no plans to leave the bed as this felt so perfect.  Seth only got dressed once and that is when he order room service and went to get it from the bellhop.  He order us big burgers.  I laughed as he was in heaven as he ate his.  He just smiled at me.  "Another reason why I love you, you don't tell me what I should or should not eat."

I smiled.  "Well, you are a big boy, eat whatever you like.  You only live once."

"You know, I might get fat."  He told me.

"And?"  I retorted.

"You wouldn't care?"  He asked.

I shook my head.  "Hell no.  As long as you keep me laughing and we keep having sex the way we do, I'm yours."

He laughed as I grinned.  Just then my phone rang.  I reached over and looked at it.  I quickly dropped it and let it ring.  Seth asked, "You are not going to answer it?"

"No."  I just said.

It stopped ringing and he asked, "Who was it?"

"My mom." I plainly said as I took another bite out of my burger.

"Why didn't you answer?"  He asked.

I was getting annoyed.  "Cause I just want to enjoy the day with you."

My phone went off again and I didn't move.  I knew it was my mother again.  Seth then reached over and grabbed my phone.  I tried to stop him but he was too fast.  He answered it, "Hello."

"Got damn it, Seth." I breathed unhappy.

He looked at me as he smiled and said, "Uh, yeah, she is right here."  He looked he might be taking the phone from his ear but stopped as he listened.  Then he said with a small smile, "Yes, ma'am, I would."  I watched as he listened then said, "Seth, ma'am."  I rolled my eyes as he was too polite in my opinion.  I knew she was questioning him, my family is catholic so when I dated, they weren't too keen about it.  Then he said with a smile, "I would love to."  What the hell did he agree to.  Then he said, "Yes, ma'am.  I will.  Here she is.  You too, Mrs. Winters."  He pulled the phone away and handed it to me.  I took it and quickly muted it.  I asked, "What the hell did you agree to?"

He smiled.  "Nothing, babe.  Just talk to your mom."  He stood up next to the bed and I took it off mute the phone.  I moved the phone to my ear and he began to walk out as he said, "But we are having dinner with your folks tonight."

I had the phone to my ear and my eyes were wide.  I quickly covered the receiver and whispered at him angrily, "God damn it, Seth!"

I heard him laugh and I was displeased.  I then uncovered the receiver and said, "Hey, mom."

"Have you been ignoring my calls?"  She asked.

"Of course, not."  I lied.  "Just been busy."

"You know lying is a sin, Mary."  She said, sternly.

I rolled my eyes.  "I know."

"So, I heard you were in town with your boyfriend, who I just spoke to.  He seems nice."  She said.  Then asked, "Why didn't you tell me you were in town?"

"Cause we aren't staying long.  We just stay long enough for the reunion."  I told her.  Wasn't a complete lie, but wasn't the full truth.  My parents were over the top in their christian ways and I didn't deal well with it.  I even rebelled when I was younger cause of it.  I did have my beliefs but my parents didn't approve how I saw the whole thing.  If they knew Seth was an atheist and with us together, I swear they would have a heart attack.
