The procedure was done and now it was a waiting game. I hate this most of all. Waiting and not knowing if we would have another. After a few weeks, I got a call from Carla. I quickly picked it up. She said, "So, it looks you and Seth will be parents again."

I got excited and almost screeched in my office. I had to remember where I was at and calmed myself. "That is wonderful news. I am so happy. Carla, you have no idea how much this means to Seth and me."

"Oh, it's really nothing. You two seem like wonderful people." She said, sweetly.

"Thanks, Carla. I'm going to go now, I have to call Seth and tell him the good news." I said, excitedly.

I heard her laugh. "Okay, tell him I said hi."

"Will do." I said, smiling.

I hung up and quickly called Seth. After a few rings, Seth picked up. He almost whispered, "Hey, baby, let me call you back. I'm in a meeting."

"Wait, Seth. Carla just called me. It took, Seth. We are going to have another baby." I said, happily.

Then he got excited as he said, loudly, "We are going to have another baby!"

I laughed as I said, "Yes."

Then he was overly excited, "Oh my god, baby, this is amazing! We are going to have another baby." Then he got quiet. "Um, baby, let me call you later."

I laughed as I knew what happened. He yelled all this in a middle of a meeting and probably had everyone staring at him. "Alright, baby."

Then I heard him say, happily, "I love you so much, Mary."

"I love you too, Seth." I said with a smile on my face.

"Alright, I'll see you at home. Bye, baby." He said, softly.

"Bye, Seth." I said to him.

I hung up the phone. I couldn't wait to get home and see Seth happiness in person. I wasn't so sure at first about another baby, but now it was happening. I was ready. So ready.

Seth's POV

Some time passed and Mary went to every appointment with Carla. I went to a few myself. I was excited about this baby. Carla and Mary spent more time together as they seemed to get along. Carla even helped with the baby's room. She was now over twenty weeks pregnant and our boys were about to be one. Mary was a little sad as their birthday would also be the anniversary of Sophia's death. She missed her friend, but her focus on the new baby and spending time with Carla, I think helped. I was actually happy Mary bonded with Carla. Carla had an appointment on the particular day and Mary couldn't make it for the first time due to being stuck in court. So, I went with her. They checked the baby and her and found everything was going according to plan. We already knew by now we were having a little girl. We were thrilled. As Carla and I were leaving, we made small talk. I said to her, "Hey, I wanted to say thank you for spending time with Mary, she has been a bit depress since it will be the anniversary of her best friend's death on the boys' birthday. I think being around you has helped a lot."

She shook her head as she smiled. "It's nothing, Seth. She is a nice person. I like hanging out with her."

"Yeah, she is wonderful." I smiled. Then it faded as I continued, "But I hate to see my wife hurt like that. We should be celebrating our boys birthday. She blames herself. I don't know how to stop her from doing that. I love her and I just hate to see her in pain."
