I woke up the following morning and realized for the first time in two months, I was in my room. I smiled at this. I was really glad to be waking up at home. It felt more warm where the other place didn't. I turned to look at my wonderful husband and he was already awake, smiling. He said, softly, "Morning, babe."
"Morning." I said as the smile still played.
I moved closer to him so I was in his chest and said, "I have missed this."
"Me too." He breathed.
I stayed like this for a moment, then pulled away and looked at him. "Last night was wonderful. Amazing, actually."
He smirked, "It was. I didn't expect your first night home, we would make love. I was really set on just us being in the same bed, holding each other."
"Well, what can I say? It's been far too long." I cracked.
He slightly chuckled and I moved my hand to the side of his head. I ran my fingers through his hair as I was really happy to be next to him. He gently grabbed my wrist and looked at it. He moved a finger over my scar and I became uncomfortable. I went to pull my wrist away but he stopped me. "Don't, baby. You don't need to hid them."
"But it's just a reminder of how bad it got. How far I went to end my suffering. I caused you pain that day. I don't even want to think about how you felt when you found me. I could only imagine. I wish I didn't have this reminder." I said, sadly.
He moved my wrist to his lips and gently kissed it. It did send a shiver down my spine as my breathing did hitch. Then he said, "Baby, you were so lost. But this wasn't the way. These will be a reminder no matter how bad things get, you won't go down this road again cause you have us. Your family. We won't let you fall. I won't let you fall again. I will be there to remind you how beautiful, wonderful, and sexy you are." I couldn't help but smile at this. "I will always catch you when you fall, from here on out. I promise you that."
I moved in and said against his lips, "I love you so much."
He smiled. "I love you too. I have always and will always love you. That will never change."
I took his lips as we kissed deeply. We were slowly getting back into it but then we heard Damien and Christian arguing. We pulled away and I smiled. "Guess we need to get out there."
He smiled back at me. "Go ahead, baby. Go get your kids. I will be out there shortly."
I moved out of bed and quickly got dressed. I walked out of the room to find Damien and Christian yelling at each other in the hall. I asked, "What is going on?"
"Damien won't let me get a turn at the xbox." Christian whined.
I smiled. "How about we shut off the xbox and you two can help me with breakfast."
They both got excited about this and ran downstairs. I smiled as I was happy to be at home with my children. I went downstairs and I quickly started breakfast while the boys helped. I gave them each something to do as I cooked. I looked at my twins as with them being identical, they both looked just like Seth. I loved it actually. I swore sometimes that Seth was their triplet since they both were a splitting image of him. They had his dark brown hair and his deep brown eyes. They both even made expressions just like their father and I would always smile at this. The more they got older, the more they looked like Seth. Seth always cracked jokes how he felt bad for them cause he wasn't popular growing up, especially with the ladies. He would crack that they wouldn't lose their virginity till they were in their 20s as well. I would just laugh at the statement. But now they were just two ten year old boys and I honestly missed them. Them helping me with breakfast was nice for us to just spend the time together. Seth walked in with Sophia wrapped up on one and Marie on the other. He was acting like a monster walking and the girls were just giggling. I smiled at this. Yeah, I missed this. I then said, "Okay, girls, let your dad be. It's almost time to eat."
