Dick sighed quietly as he leaned back in the seat in his car, a small frown tugging at his lips as he glanced at the unoccupied seat next to him.

Two weeks had passed since his partner, Jay, had been admitted to the hospital, and it will be at least another three until he's given the okay to leave.

Dick couldn't help but feel partially guilty for it.

And to top that off, Batman had specifically asked him to come up to Mount Justice today. What was it for? He didn't know, and he definitely wasn't itching to find out.

Maybe he could take the time to ask about Jason? Its been a week since he's last heard from him- let alone about him- and Dick was beginning to worry Batman had put him through some insane torturous hell.

Poor kid.

Just a few more hours and he could find out.

He couldn't help but cringe at the idea of confronting the Bat, but he'll have to suck it up and try.

"Hello?" Anjo called out, his voice traveling down the somewhat vacant room. "Batman?"

He nervously pulled at one of his gloves as he took a few hesitant steps into the room. This was definitely far beyond his comfort zone and he was already counting down the minutes before he was free to leave.

Was he early? Or was Batman just late?

Batman late? Yeah right. The day that'll happen is the day Joker stops smiling.

"Batman?" He called out again, taking the risk to peer around the corner and down a hall. He almost screamed as he felt someone grab his shoulder.

"Who're you?" A voice asked him. A voice the definitely did not sound like the Dark Knights. This voice was kinda deep, yet very- and he means very- cocky.

He was quick to whip around, eyes locking with Superboys, and boy did those fists look menacing.

What he would do for some kryptonite right about now.

"Oh, shit.." He mumbled out, taking a few steps back before he soon made contact with the nearby wall. "Sorry, I didn't see you there.."

"Who. Are. You." Superboy growled out once more.

He didn't like confrontation. Hell, he practically despised it. Confrontation means intimidation, which leads to a  growing frustration, ultimately ending in the brain no longer forming proper sentences nor words, which is what happened to this sentence and his own brain.

So he just stood there.

With wide eyes,

Shaking legs,

And a partially open mouth that looked as if it was about to form words, except it didn't.

Because of Superboys confrontation.

And everyone knows that Superboy doesn't know what patience is, now one could guess what happened next.

And as if one concussion wasn't enough for the week..

He let out a startled gasp as he was roughly shoved up against the wall by the collar of his suit. A welt most definitely forming on the back of his head as his feet dangled slightly above the ground. "Answer me. Now!"

"I'm Anjo!" The smaller hero gasped out, pulling at the Kryptonians wrist. "Batman asked me to come here! I was here the other night!"

"Why did Batman ask for you?"

"I don't know!"

"I don't believe you!"

"You're crazy!"

He kicked at the Kryptonian, only proving to do nothing, but tire himself out a lot faster. Didn't this guy have a weak spot? He's partially human for Christ's sake!

Where was somewhere he would feel pain?

He took a chance and jabbed a finger into both of Superboys eyes, which thankfully did the trick. He was immediately dropped, the other screaming out in pain. With them preoccupied, he made a run for it down the hall.

Taking a few lefts and rights, and backtracking once or twice, he finally found the perfect place to hide.

The cliché air vent.

Settling in, he leaned back, quietly taking deep breathes to calm his heart, so the Kryptonian couldn't hear him as easily.

He was already beginning to hate the Young Justice team and was starting to wonder if it would really be worth saving them in the future- if the time should arrive that is.

He'd only save Kid Flash, he quickly concluded.

Letting several minutes pass, he decided it was time to contact the Dark Knight- or Wally- and have him get his ass over here to save him from the deranged half Kryptonian that probably got his insanity from his human half!

Pulling out a communicator, he quickly called Batman.

"Oh lord, please let him answer".

"Yes?" Batman asked, his voice immediately calming the other.

"Where are you?" Anjo whispered, checking around to make sure he was still in the clear.

"Heading to the Mountain now. Why?"

"Superboys trying to kill me."

"What?"

"I said, 'Superboys trying to kill me', so if you wouldn't mind hurrying up?"

A long, tired sigh could be heard before Batman mumbled out, "I'll be right there."

A/N:

Is this bad?

I feel like it's bad.

Tell me if it's bad!

And don't lie to me!

I know when you're lying.

Rip.
