Chapter 10 - Murderers

Laura's POV

I woke up the next morning with Melody in the middle of me and Ross.

Last night, Ross basically chased after me and Melody until we reached the room and he caught us.

Then, Ross tickled us to death till' we got tired and went to sleep.

I was hugging the little girl tight in my arms.

"Morning," the awaken Ross said.

I smiled, "Good morning... Mel's still asleep," I continued.

"She's adorable, isn't she?"

"Yeah :)"

"You wanna get breakfast? Melody will probably go downstairs when she's awake," Ross laughed.

"She would!" I said. "Let's go."

Ross and I got out of bed and tucked Melody in before we went down to the kitchen.

Riker and Vanessa were awake already, as usual.

"Good morning!" I said happily.

"Good... Morning?" A curious Riker said.

Ross and I smiled at each other.

"Did something happen last night that I don't know about?" Riker asked.

"Why would you think that?" Vanessa laughed.

"Well first off, Ross and Laura aren't mad at each other and everyone seems happy..... Why?" He laughed as well.

"Mommy Laura, Mommy Laura!" Melody came running down the stairs.

"Morning sweetie!" I said, and bent down to hug her.

"How's Melody?" Ross playfully asked her.

"Good!"

Riker's face was hilarious. His mouth was dropped down.

"How did this happen?! Since when was Laura pregnant?! This girl does not look new born!" He questioned.

Vanessa, Ross and I cracked up laughing.

Ross then explained everything over breakfast.

"Ohh," Riker said at the end. "Well, Melody's an adorable little girl. Can't wait for Vanessa and I to have our own," he smiled at my sister.

Then doorbell suddenly rang, and I walked to the door and opened it.

It was Maia.

"Laura... What are you doing in Ross' house?" She asked.

Umm... Excuse me?

"This is my house. And he lives with me," I strictly said.

It wasn't just Maia at the door, it was her and... Ramy?

"Oh, well may I see Ross?" Maia asked strictly as well.

"I'm right here, Maia," Ross walked up next to me.

"Look Maia, what do you want?" I questioned.

"Um, obviously! To introduce my new boyfriend to Ross! And show him that I got over him," she made her words louder.

"Nice to see that you got a boyfriend over night," Ross said. "By the way, we know Ramy. We met in Puerto Rico."

"You do now?"

"Yes."

"Well isn't that nice."

Suddenly, Melody came running to me and hugged me behind my leg.

"Mommy Laura... That man by the door is the one who took my mommy," she faintly said.
