FIST FIGHT.

The harsh stares of your brothers as you entered the back room of The Garrison was a warning and you should've taken the chance to run before you got dragged into an argument, a one-sided argument which was not fair. Tommy stared at you, his youngest sister, with confusion as the face of the man she had been spotted with ran through his mind. He had always been protective of her, especially as she was the youngest girl and he was especially protective when it came to men that she had been seen attending the local dancing club with.

"Why are you all staring at me?" you asked, although you knew why. One of the Blinders had seen her at the dance hall and she knew then, instantly, that it would only be a matter of time before they had run back to the Shelby home and informed every one of their youngest sister's adventures. What made it worse was who you had been seen with at the dance.

"Oh, I think you know," John sang, not too bothered about your relationship status or love life. He was only there for the jokes and the arguments that would come out of the meeting, as was Arthur who had a smug grin on his face as he sipped on his Whiskey, one hand resting on the back of the seat. You threw him a dirty look and John silently raised his hands in defence.

You turned your attention to Tommy and raised one eyebrow with a hand on your hip, waiting for his answer. When you were met with silence, you sighed and made your way over to the bar, ordering a few glasses of Whiskey to calm down your anger. They had no right to judge who you dated, especially when the people that they had been seen courting in the past weren't exactly angels.

"Your brothers annoying you?" Harry asked as he watched you down two drinks in a row. You rolled your eyes and nodded your head, earning a laugh from the barman. "They are only protecting you."

"It's not Arthur or John, it's Tommy. For some reason, he feels the need to be the overprotective brother and it winds me up. Why can't he just keep his nose out of my business?"

"Chris Marriott isn't exactly the most idea person to date. He does have a bad reputation..." Harry trailed off when you he noticed your expression, one that he had seen Tommy wear many times.

"My brothers don't exactly have the best reputation, do they?" you argued, not wanting to let people bad mouth Chris before they knew the real him. Out of every man that you had dated, Chris was the one that you could see a future with and you weren't going to let your brothers ruin it. "Will you get me another drink please?" you asked as you downed the third glass. Harry sighed but nodded anyway - the night was dragging, and he needed some entertainment.

With another glass of strong Whiskey in your hand, you made your way over to the backroom to sort out Tommy's issue. You sat yourself down next to Arthur, out of all your brothers, he would have your back the most.

"Right," Tommy started, stopping when he heard Polly and Finn enter the backroom. "Great, you two can back me up," he said. "Tell her that she can't date Chris Marriott."

Polly's eyes widened as she looked at you, a mixture of confusion and anger on her face. Finn gave you a supporting look before sitting down, not wanting to be involved with the messy fight that was most likely going to happen. "Chris Marriott?" she asked, shock evident in her voice. "You could do so much better."

"Oh, thanks for the moral support, Pol," you muttered sarcastically, frustrated that she didn't have your back. "What is your issue?" you asked, directing your question to Tommy.

"I just worry about you because I know how easily led astray you are," he responded but you didn't believe a word that left his mouth.

"Are you sure it's because you have dealings with the Marriott family and you don't want me getting in the way and disrupting them?"

"This has nothing to do with business but still, what if he's using you to find out information?" he asked, and you couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"You'd know all about that, wouldn't you?" you smirked, taking a sip of your drink knowing that you had hit a nerve. Tommy pursed his lip and raised one hand, signalling that he didn't want to go any further with the conversation. You were stubborn, just like him, and the two of you did not mix well together when you had both drank too much. "It's true though, Tommy. You have no right to comment on my relationship when you are still obsessing over a woman who betrayed this family and then fucked off, leaving you with the mess."

Tommy's mood instantly changed from worry to anger. John and Arthur laughed loudly, and Polly shot you a look on anger, just like always. The words stumbled from your mouth before you could think about what you were saying, and you immediately felt bad, but you weren't going to let Tommy know that, you wanted him to know how it felt to have people judge their feelings for others.

"Stop acting like a fucking kid," he muttered, not even looking at you.

"Stop treating me like one then," you shot back. Tommy raised one hand before standing up and walking out of the backroom. You weren't going to let him go that easy and you were quickly following him, ignoring the comments that the rest of your family made as they begged you to leave it. The booze that was running through your veins didn't help the situation and you only found yourself becoming angrier. "Don't fucking call me a kid and then walk away from me."

"You are embarrassing yourself," he snarled, turning around to face you. Before you could think, your fist was making its way towards Tommy's face, but you were pulled back by John. You started to kick and push away from your older brother, but he had a strong grip. "What are you trying to do?" Tommy asked, extending his arms. "John, let her go."

John looked at Tommy like he was an idiot. He was fully-aware of how nasty you could get when you were drunk, mainly from his own experience of coming home with a drunken nose after he had made some comment towards you that you didn't agree with - the two of you didn't speak for a few weeks but John eventually apologised for his comment.

As soon as John's grip on your waist was loosened, you launched at Tommy and your fist instantly contacted his face. Maybe he deserved it, maybe he didn't but now in time, you didn't care for Tommy's feelings. Polly was doing his best to break up the argument, Harry was getting the entertainment he had hoped for and John and Arthur were doing their best to break up the fight without getting too involved themselves. Arthur's drunken state didn't help and one of your punches ended up hitting him causing him to stumble back into the bar. Your hands instantly shot to your mouth as you walked over to Arthur, quickly checking him over with a pleading look in your eyes. Arthur barely acknowledged your existence and within seconds, he had regained his posture and was shouting at Harry for another drink.

"You are so annoying," you shouted at Tommy. He looked at you with a blank expression and blinked a few times, unsure of what to say. "Just be happy for me, please," you whispered, your voice was quiet and timid.

"I don't think I can," he admitted. "But I can try."
