With his alarm clock blaring, Jose groaned as he stretched his arms out and yawned. He rolled over and pressed the home button on his phone to turn his alarm off. He let out a few deep breaths as he started to drift back to sleep, but before he could he heard his mom banging on his door. Jose heard her yelling at him in Spanish to get up and if he missed his ride to school, he was walking.

Today was the first day of Jose's senior year, it was also the first official day of his last year playing high school football. After this season, he had no guaranteed spot on a team.

Jose threw himself out of bed and onto his feet. He dragged his feet towards the bathroom where he heard his sisters fighting over the hair dryer.

"Get out before I pee on you both." Jose spoke groggily.

Both his older and younger sister looked at him in disgust before leaving the bathroom. Jose used the bathroom, showered, brushed his teeth, and went back into his room to get dressed. By the time he got to his room to put on his clothes, he had woken up more.

Jose threw on a shirt, his favorite pair of jeans, and his favorite sneakers before grabbing a notebook, folder, and pen to carry around for the day. He jogged out his room and downstairs where he heard the loud talking of his family talking over breakfast.

He instantly grabbed the plate of food from his mom who was trying to get food in him before he ran off with his friends. His dad was writing on his work forms in his suit and tie while his sisters were talking to each other. Jose put his plate on top of his notebook and used his notebook as a tray as he walked around the kitchen.

"Ethan gonna be here for you soon?" His mom, Ana, asked.

Jose gave his mom a look. "Ma, I told you already. Diego has to drive us all to school now. Remember?"

"Oh yeah!" She smiled, taking the plate from him when he finished eating so he didn't just place it anywhere. "When's—"

All of them watched Jose run out the house when they heard a horn honk outside. Jose ran out the kitchen door and down the driveway until he got to Diego's black four door Ford pickup truck. Jose instantly saw the backdoor open inviting him inside. When he got in, he saw Diego behind the wheel with Jacob next to him in the passenger seat and finally Stephen was sitting in the back who slid over for Jose to sit down.

"Alright, time to get little miss princess." Diego muttered, driving off.

Jose did one of their many handshakes with Stephen before gently punching Jacob in the shoulder.

"We all suppose to fit in here?" Stephen wondered, looking over the backseat area. "It's gonna be a tight fit."

"Get a car and you won't have to share." Jacob smirked, but dropped it when Stephen glared at him, still not on good terms with him from what they found out just 3 weeks before.

Diego smirked as he pulled up to Mateo's house where he saw Clover standing outside. "He has a point."

Stephen jumped out the trunk so Clover could get in the middle of the backseat. She was standing outside waiting for them with Dante who had came home from deployment just two weeks ago. He went for a jog every morning and promised Clover he'd take a break to wait for the boys with her.

Clover kissed Dante goodbye before getting in the truck. Stephen waited for her to be inside before he hopped back in the truck. He then felt Diego speed off so they could be on time to have some time to hang outside the school like they needed to today.

"Dude has a designer car but can't drive you to school?" Diego wondered, looking at her through the rear view mirror.

Clover giggled as she met his gaze in the mirror. "Then I'd miss out on riding with you guys. What kind of fun would that be?"
