happy update!

sorry it took so long!

I hope you enjoy the chapter!

"Emma! Harry!"

I left my room and walked out into the hall, Harry already walking down the hallway, the two of us going downstairs where my mom had called us to the kitchen.

"I need your help with the menu." She said as we sat down at the bar.

"Okay so for the Christmas party i was thinking prime rib and stuffed chicken and the usual sides for dinner, a chocolate bar for dessert and then a salad bar, macaroni and cheese bites and stuffed mushrooms for appetisers. What do you think?"

As soon as she said mushrooms I looked over and grinned at Harry who had an uneasy look on his face.

"What?" My mom asked.

"Harry hates mushrooms." I said.

"Emma-" he began but I held up my hand to him.

"With a passion." I added.

"That's fine." My mom laughed. "We can come up with something else."

"You didn't have to say that." Harry shook his head at me. "I don't want to cause problems."

"It's not a problem, Harry." My mom said. "Now I know you don't like mushrooms so I can make sure there's none in the food."

He nodded.

"Now. I need to make a grocery list so once it's done will you two please go to the grocery store for me?"

"We're not going to have it catered?" I asked.

"We will have it partially catered but I want to make some things at home so I need the groceries."

"Okay."

She made the list and then handed it to me.

"Oh, I can drive us there." I said.

"What?" Harry looked at me with wide eyes.

"I have my car here, I can drive us to the store."

He then looked at my mom.

"Fine." She said and Harry looked like he was going to have a conniption.

I smiled at my success, and skipped to the hall, grabbing my keys off the hook, Harry hesitantly following behind me.

When I got to the garage we walked to the very end where my 1965 baby blue mustang was.

"This is your car?" He asked.

"Mhmm."

His eyes went wide as he ran his hand down the hood.

"This is nice."

"I know. I love it." I smiled as I went to get behind the drivers seat, but Harry held out his hand.

"What?"

"Keys."

"No! I'm driving."

"I don't trust you behind the wheel."

"You've never even seen me drive!" I defended myself and then opened the door. "So hop in."

Harry groaned as he walked around to the passenger seat.

I pressed the button to open the garage door and started the car, Harry's hand gripping the door handle tightly. I rolled my eyes at this and instead drove out of the garage and down the driveway.
