"You're a murderer?" Indra repeated.

Hayato gulped and nodded, "Yes... I have killed the men who caused the fire to get vengeance from my family and wife. I ended up killing the leader who ran human trafficking and I hear these rumors they are happening again and I'm just too old to carry out the investigation on my own "

Indra clenches his jaw.
He must've had a son.

"I took care of my daughter the best I could; she could've had her mother by her side and she is not here...." his jaw clenched. Indra understood that man's feelings and his anger because he has blood on his hands.

The prodigy looked down at his drink he is holding and finished it all. He sighed as he put the bamboo cup down: "Do you mind showing where your old house burnt down?"

Aya's father glanced up at him and Indra continued, "I might go by and see it for myself but I have other matters to attend to."

Hayato studied him for a moment, trying to read off of him but couldn't yet he understands him: "you have your heart locked, don't you." Indra furrowed his eyebrows and her father continued. "you show lack of emotion towards others even towards your family."

The single father saw the young man's chest rise a little as they both look at each other. "I don't know what to get from you...you are one mysterious man."

Indra chewed the inside of his cheek and shuts his eyes, "I almost lost my little brother...he is the only sibling I have and your daughter..my world has evolved around her. I do not plan to lose them." The middle-aged man nodded comprehending that it's difficult for him express himself, "Is Ayana your hope?"

Black onyx orbs appeared once again at Kan. "I don't want my daughter to live a life full of hatred and vengeance. She will one day find out the truth that I've kept, buried into the ground along with her mother and her history that I did not even bother looking ." Her father stood up and grabbed a dagger. Indra's eyes widen recalling Aya having it in her possession before in the woods. She thought she lost it.

"This is her mother's." he handed it to Indra and he took it. He has now gotten a look at the craftsmanship and different language embroiled in it and culture.

"I want you to please give this to my daughter at the right time ...along with the box."

Indra was caught off guard when he mentioned a box.
"My wife has this locked keepsake where it's buried along with an old house. I want you to find it and keep it but when the time is right, please let my daughter have it."

"In order for me to give this to her, what does the box contain"

"I don't know myself since its locked and I presume they are documents of my wife's family history. I actually don't know..."

"And this key is not in your possession?"

"No.  I have no idea what the shape the key looks like because I never have seen the keepsake at all, only my wife mentioning it."

Indra gets up, putting the dagger away, asking the directions of their old house. Hayato proceeds to give him the directions as they both walked out of the house. "Please, keep it for now because I don't know when Aya is going to ask about it again."

He made promised her daughter's boyfriend.

Indra, as of now, has a feeling that Aya doesn't want to talk about it at the moment still trying to recover the death of her mother and learning her way to break a genjutsu. He nods at her father and Hayato walks away from him heading to work and the Ōtsutsuki prodigy going back inside.
