A pink dawn sky ascended to horizon hitting the currents and the color, embellishing the entire room. She groans at light thats disturbing her sleep so she pulled up the duvets to block it which uncovered her toes. She shifts her body away from rays, rising her knees against her chest.
Hayato steps in, quietly, tippy toeing his way to sit by her side. He pulled her sheets away from her face that might give her respiratory problems. Aya groans again when her father shook her.

"Happy 18th Birthday, Ayana!"

Her hazel irises peaks for a moment then groggily gets up, rubbing her eyes. "What day is it?" she mumbled and her father chuckled.
"You're birthday, darling! It's today!"

Her eyes shot open. "Already?"

Hayato laughs again, tucking a tendril behind her opposite ear, not where the hickey is at. "I got you something" he said excited.

"Papa, you shouldn't have!"

"I have to. You're my daughter - you are my precious gift!" He caresses her cheek. "But I'm leaving you money I have saved up on the kitchen counter so you can buy something you want."
Aya is not a morning person so it took her awhile to process what he just said. Her mouth gaped in shock.

Did he just say the money he has saved?

That money should not be used no other than utilities. She sternly narrowed her brows and shakes her head refusing to accept the offer.

"Papa, you really shouldn't give that money to me!" she explains, "and its fine if you don't get me anything."

She softly smiles, grabbed his hard-working hands with her delicate ones and rubbing his knuckles with her thumbs. "You know what? My precious present for me has already been given since I was born. Im happy Im your daughter and Im even more happy that you're my amazing father who went through so much and raised me on his own. With you next to me is all I can be forever grateful for."

Her father catches a tear running down his cheek after hearing her beautiful words, "Its your birthday, not mine!"

"I'm sorry! I didn't want to make you cry!" She wipes away the left over tears. "That's how I feel. Anyways, what's the gift you have for me?"

"Wait right here. I'll go get it."

She waits patiently for her father to come back with his hands behind him. He sat in the spot he was before and gives her a coral tissued paper tied with a red ribbon. It's small gift and looking at its size, it can be a lipstick of its circular shape but they are not usually that long.

Aya pulls the ribbon, opening it and wondering what it could be.

"I already had planned this present for you since it was already coming up. I hope you like it." Kan spoke as her daughter unwraps the tissue paper putting it aside.

Its rollerball perfume which she obviously needs in her compartment. Aya weighs it with her palm. It is not heavy for being made out glass. Her fingers hold it firmly, rolling the small cylinder, checking the inside by using  dawn's light to shines right through. Tiny small pink roses, floating around the liquid giving a hint that floral scented. She twists the cap with her index and thumb to first sniff it with her nose and then putting ball on her wrists for the liquid pour out.
