Ship: Analogical

Hiya everyone. I've really missed you all.

I thought I'd finally make my comeback. So here it is. It'll be fluffy with a few elements of angst, one of my favourites!

I'll explain my absence and other important things, I promise.

Note is at the bottom!

"That...is terrible."

"Like my life, amirite?"

"Virgil! No self-deprecating jokes on Roman's birthday! And Logan, don't say that!" Patton reprimanded, shaking his head at the snickering pair.

"Oh come on! Truth or dare isn't that bad!" Roman pouted, trying to convince them.

The two reluctant groans he got in response seemed to say otherwise though.

Nevertheless, the four traits ended up on the floor together in a circle, a half-empty (or half-full?) water bottle in the centre.

"I'm assuming Sir Sing-a-lot gets the first spin?"

"Of course I do!"

"Great..." Virgil sarcastically cheered.

"Virgil! Your turn, truth or d-"

"Dare. You should know by now."

"Are you sure, kiddo? Last round you almost had an attack." Patton gently reminded, worried for his dark strange son.

Virgil just shrugged nonchalantly. "I didn't expect my claustrophobia to get so out of hand. It was my choice to accept anyways."

Roman, Patton, and Logan exchanged uneasy glances with each other, already having noticed the unhealthy pattern that the youngest trait was following;

He hadn't been choosing anything other dare.

But why?

He'd been dared to recite several of Juliet's lines from Romeo and Juliet, wear cat ears, model bright pink tutus, swap outfits with Patton (which he rocked like hell, though he disagrees), have a rap battle with Logan, have a push up competition with Roman (ew, exercise) and worst of all, be locked in an unlit, locked room for 10 minutes.

Even after being brought to the end of both his patience and sanity, he refused to choose truth.

Roman, thankfully, had a plan. Now how was he going to carry it out?

"...okay," Roman started slowly, seriousness gleaming in his eyes, "I dare you to choose truth next round."

"Wha-!" A cold sweat ran down Virgil's deer-caught-in-the-headlights expression and his breath hitched at the dare.

The three traits saw how the dark trait's openly troubled eyes as his mind flicked from option to option, trying to find any loopholes that he could take.

There were none.

"Fine." He finally settled on, reluctance seeping through that one word.

As the bottle spun, everyone tried to wave it off, quietly anticipating when it would land on Virgil again.

They had noticed the defensive body language that had overtaken him and how he had closed in on himself, like a small child trying to protect himself by curling into a ball. Somehow, he had managed to slip on his hood without being noticed, the oversized-ness helping with covering his face. He was hugging himself, gripping tightly onto the thick fabric of his hoodie and slowly rocking himself back and forth. Logan was quite certain he had heard him doing his breathing exercise and that rather... concerned (A/N: damn it Logan, just admit you're worried) him.
