"Well, well, well," Celia chimes, in a sing-song manner as she enters the house. It's almost in a way in which she knows something that I don't know just yet. Putting my piece of toast back down on the plate, I have a large sip of orange juice, almost readying myself for whatever she has to say.

"Get on with it," I ask, rolling my eyes.

Dropping a copy of OK! Magazine down on the table, my eyes are met with a photograph of myself and Vic on the cover. My eyes are downcast as I look to the floor, whilst Vic on the other hand strides confidently towards the cameraman, eyes staring assuredly down the barrel.

"And?" I ask, ensuring she knows how I annoyed I am to have been disturbed mid-breakfast

"And?" I ask, ensuring she knows how I annoyed I am to have been disturbed mid-breakfast. "You're telling me that my toast is now cold because there's a stupid photo of me on the cover of an even stupider magazine?"

Apparently I can't even go to the opera with a male without having a dozen headlines published, and accusations thrown. What a comforting thought.

"Do you have anything to tell me..." she asks, drawing out the question as though I have something to announce, and catching on, I decide to play along.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that Vic and I secretly eloped," I sarcastically remark, teasing her.

This isn't the first time that I've regretted telling Celia that Vic and I had slept together, and I'm quite certain it won't be the last. She's absolutely convinced he's the person to help me move on from my last relationship, and has only been more enthusiastic about it since I told her. Sadly for her, it was a one time thing, and that particular moment shall remain in the past.
