"No this isn't happening, this isn't real," I said. "I'm going to need you to take deep breaths and calm down," the doctor said. By now the rest of her speech is a blur. Her voice muffled by my tears. "I'm sorry but I have to go," I say as I walk out into the fresh air. "You're strong honey you will get through this," my mom says.

The car ride home was silent. I sat in the passenger seat blasting my music. I walk in to find my dad staring at me before I see a tear fall down his face. My mom just gives him the nod as I run upstairs to my room slamming the door behind me. I throw myself onto my bed crying my eyes out.

I hear a knock at the door. "GO AWAY," I scream. I don't wanna speak to anyone. "Okay sweetie I'll leave your food at your door." my mom says gently. Her voice so soft and smooth. It's oddly comforting. By now there are no more tears but I can't live like this.

I pick up the phone and call the doctor back.
