Sans turned back around.

" Let's head to my place. You look cold and starved " as if on cue my stomach made a loud grumbling noise, confirming Sans' suspicions. At this point I felt like I had no choice but to follow the skeleton. I sighed and wrapped myself further into the coat.

" Sounds good " I smiled and tried to look grateful but in actuality I was still terrified. We began to walk through a snowy forest. With everything covered in snow it reminded me of a winter wonderland, something from a pleasant dream. As we passed the forest we entered a place called Snowdin and the air was now not as shocking as it once was. I was immediately relaxed as we passed the welcome sign into Snowdin. The air now carried the smell of burning firewood, presumably from the homes in the town as I could see smoke arising from the chimney of each house. It was unexpected to find a small town such as this underground, the town didn't seem out of place but it also seemed familiar to me. I was pondering the familiarity when I saw Sans stop walking.

" Here we are " I stopped, Sans finally snapping me out of my thoughts. A small wooden house stood in front of us and I made my way gingerly inside, following Sans slowly. Hearing a noise from the kitchen made my nerves flare up and caused my nervousness to come back.

A tall skeleton with a long thin face bounded happily into the living room, carrying an overloaded plate of spaghetti. I backed into Sans , surprised and slightly frightened at the creature before me.

" Look Sans " the tall skeleton shouted before holding the plate of spaghetti above his head like a trophy.

" My best ever plate of spaghetti! "

Sensing my fear Sans gently pushed me forward.

" Well I'm glad you made so much bro, 'cause we got a guest " the short skeleton gestured towards me. I smiled nervously, held up my hand and waved.

The taller skeleton opened his eyes finally and his eye sockets met with my eyes. We stood in silence for a moment. Sans narrowed his brow and cleared his non existent throat.

" Papyrus this is Kyra, she's a..."

" Human! " Papyrus interrupted his brother and I began to shake as I felt Sans gently grab my shoulders, pulling me away slightly.

" I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause a fuss " I said softly, my voice shaking and on the verge of tears.

" Don't sweat it kid. Paps has never seen a human before and is a little excited. Y'know how younger brothers get?" I nodded slowly but noticed the plate of spaghetti now on the floor. Papyrus came up to me and looked directly into my eyes, almost like he was looking into my soul. Suddenly Papyrus stood up straight and smiled.

" You look harmless human and my brother urges me not to hurt or capture harmless humans so..." Papyrus seemed to stop to think for a moment.

" Ha! I know. The Great Papyrus shall get you a blanket! " Papyrus ran upstairs, almost tripping over his own feet. I felt the coat being lifted from my shoulders and I turned to Sans, once again giving him my thanks. I was still holding my sketchbook tight. Something about this place seemed so familiar, almost like I had been here once before but how could I have been? I was human, not a monster. Perhaps it was just my imagination. That had to be it. I must have been thinking too hard. However, I could never shake the familiarity of the place around me and it seemed to stir up something deep inside me, like my memories had been locked away.
