I watched as my smaller self stumbled from behind the pillar, a hand on her side and blood pouring from the wound. Tears poured from my eyes like the blood from the wound, fast and plentiful. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I looked to Sans who was now sobbing, his eye glowing blue. I looked back to the fight after hearing a thud and a loud cry.
" Oh my god! " The cry was followed by rapid footsteps as past Sans runs over to the younger me and holds me in his arms. All the while Frisk was slowly backing away, eventually running away. I could have cursed the brunette child but I was too occupied at what was going on in front of me. Sans held my younger self tight and attempted to patch up the wound.
" Damn it...don't die on me kid! " I watched as Sans picked the child up and proceeded to carry her across the hall, tears pouring down his face. In the distance was a tall, slim figure. He was also in a lab coat, gaping holes in his hands and glasses on his face. The figure was breathing rapidly, trying to form a sentence.
" Y...you found her. Sans take her to the lab. Now!" The figure watched as Sans walked past him and into the lab.
" Kyra" The slim man walked after Sans, leaving the hall empty. The eerie silence making the tension heavier.
" Who?" I asked as I gently touched my shirt, my heart suddenly hurting from what I had witnessed. Sans' sobs stopped and his wiped his eye sockets with the sleave of his coat.
" It was Gaster " My eyes widened, tears appearing again. Gaster saved me. He really did care. My sadness became overjoyment as I smiled, glad that Gaster cared about me. Sans however was not as happy. He was shivering, perhaps from fear. I looked at the skeleton directly in the sockets and quickly hugged him tightly, wanting him to know I wasn't angry.
" Kid?" I smiled even though Sans couldn't see me and I felt his hands wrap gently around me. He semmes to be relaxing and calming down.
" Sans, I forgive you. Your not to blame because you didn't know. I'm not angry that you kept this to yourself. I would have " I felt tears fall onto my back and the sobs returned from the short skeleton. The room around us changed back to the present and time unfroze. Blueberry entered the kitchen, seeing Sans crying he came up to us.
" Classic, what's wrong?" Sans' soft cries became wails of emotional agony as the skeleton fall to the floor, pulling me with him. I wasn't angry or mad. He didn't need to cry. The cries suddenly ceased and everything became quiet, soft snoring resonating around the room. Sans had fallen asleep. He needed the rest. He deserved it.
