Chapter 109

We couldn't leave all this to Gaster, there had to be a way to help. I thought for a moment, watching glistening blue strings and purple bones flying through the air. Something, anything. Then it hit me, something I had never considered. The papers Gaster left said that strong monsters were needed to help break the barrier but he never said in what way. He never said weather it was to physically break it or to be a protector to the one who would. Maybe if I tried maybe I could break the barrier myself, if the others had my back that is. I decided that this idea was better then sitting around and doing nothing. Signalling the monsters to listen, I told them about my plan which gained varied responses. Sans, Fell and the Underswap brothers were all for it but the others seemed dubious, similar to how I felt. Right now we had no choice though. We couldn't sit by and watch as Gaster did all the work. I turned myself to face the shining barrier of light, closing my eyes for concentration. 

" Go! " I needed the others to watch out for me as I did this. I touched my face, finally remembering the deep crack that now adorned it. The blood had quickly stopped but now I was left with a constant reminder of what could happen if I made a wrong move or my concentration wavered for even a second. I shouldn't and wouldn't damage myself further, not if the others stopped me getting distracted. The monsters rushed into battle, more bones began to fly as did fire and some physical weapons. Sans turned to me before he joined the others, concern on his bony features.

" Stay safe kid " I nodded, my extra hands summoning behind me. I turned, hearing Sans as he entered the fight. His battle cry was strong and determined, there was no bringing this skeleton down easily. Sounds of effort and pain filled the room around me, Undyne manically laughing at points. She seemed excited by such a fight, as did Fell. It was the nature of their timeline, something I expected from the two. Soon the sounds faded, leaving and eerie and strange silence. I opened my eyes, seeing that the world around me was like a blank canvas. The only light that shone was from the hands that followed my every move, gleaming from the plain walls. I suddenly hear something in the silence, faint inaudible words that were in no way clear enough for me to hear. The move I moved the louder the words became, clear like church bells. 

" The words, say the words " I remembered, Gaster locked my true powers away with words. Words that would unlock the power to destroy the barrier. I took a deep breath, feeling something arise from deep inside me. I reached out into the nothingness, my voice warbling as I spoke. Speaking the language of the man who spoke in hands.
