Warning - this may be triggering to some people. There will be mentions of all types of mental disorders in this imagine, because I want to raise awareness.

Living in the mental hospital for over a year now.. nothing changed Y/N opinion on how they didn't make them feel any safer.

Y/N was delusional from their latest episode from their Schizophrenia. Not willing to take medication had landed them in a mental hospital.

Over this year, Y/N had made friends that had come and gone. They all left but never stayed in contact.

"Y/N. You have a new room mate. He's got bipolar and is here from his episode but also from abusing alcohol." Sun-mi, Y/N's current therapist said.

Y/N looked over at her. She was sat in front of the chair. Everyone around them was talking to friends, or doing some kind of activity. Whilst Y/N was sulking. Taeyong had left, and she was waiting for him to text. He was the only friend that actually meant they'd keep in contact. He'd kept in contact, but he was apparently busy today so it was a matter of time before he spoke.

"Ya. Y/N, are you listening?" Sun-mi asked. Furrowing her eyebrows.

"What?" Y/N angrily snapped.

"You have a new room mate. He's called Moon Taeil." She got up, walking off.

Soon arriving back with a tall male. He had dark brown hair. Gorgeous to say the least.

"Hi. I'm Moon Taeil. You must be Chae Y/N?" He stuck his and out.

"Erm yeah. Hi." Y/N awkwardly took his hand.

Sun-mi walked off. "Don't forget to help him around. He got shown but he's still a little unsure."

Growling, Y/N sunk back into the chair. Drowning out all the noise of everyone chattering around them.

Taeil awkwardly perched on the seat in front of Y/N, not knowing what he felt. He was sad that the person had being so stiff with him. He was happy he was getting the help he needed. But overall he felt nervous because he hadn't had a drink for the whole day.

The days had been passing. Taeil tried to make an effort, but eventually snapped.

"I'M TRYING TO BE YOUR FRIEND. BUT YOU ARE SO GODDAMN RUDE IT'S UNREAL. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M STUCK WITH YOU FOR A ROOM MATE." He shouted.

Everyone had turned round in the lunch hall and stared at them.

"WELL I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M STUCK WITH YOU. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND." Y/N screamed back. Frustrated. Angry. Tired. Was all Y/N felt. The voices in their head, wearing them out daily.

"WELL I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IF I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE BLOODY HERE." Taeil pushed Y/N backwards roughly. Knocking them over a chair.

Y/N got up and stormed out. Not bothering to eat. Not that they cared. One of the calmer therapist-doctors ran out to find Y/N.

"What do you want WinWin?" Y/N growled.

"Hey, I'm only here to see if you are okay." He says, with a little smile. "Just think of me as a friend. Like you have for this whole year."

"I can't bring myself to tell him WinWin." Y/N sighed.

"I'd lose my job if I told him. But think about it. You both might get out at the same time. You could really do with a friend for the future." WinWin said gently. "I am your friend and I know you trust me. But you need more than just me. Especially if I get called over by other patients."

Y/N sat there. Hands clasped in their lap. "I don't know. I'm scared. What happens if he judges me? Like what the voices tell me?"

"You need to start taking your medication again." WinWin looked over at Y/N. "Come on."

Give or take a few more days and Y/N was pacing around the room. Taeil walked in from his session. "What's with you?" He said roughly.

"N-nothing." Y/N stuttered.

"That's a lie." Taeil looked over at her.

"I'm schizophrenic that's why I'm here." Y/N blurted out.

Taeil looked up. Watching the person walk around the room. "You know that no matter what, I won't judge you right? I heard a little bit of your conversation with WinWin."

Y/N stopped, looking over at Taeil. "Wait. You did?" Oh no, they internally groaned. This wasn't going well.

"Sorry. But look, I want to be your friend. You seem like a great person. I'll take my medication if you do." He offered.

"You'd do that for me?" Y/N looked at him. Lightly blushing because Taeyong was the only other person to do that for them as well. So that they would take the medication themselves.

"Of course. I want you to get better and feel better. Even if the voices are taken away by medication and therapy. I'll be here every step of the way." Taeil smiled. His smile lighting the whole room.

"Fine anything for a friend." Y/N smiled in return.

"Anything for a friend." Taeil repeated. Like he couldn't believe the words.
