"This is your office..?" I deadpanned; my eyes scanning the cramped, rather filthy room. The walls were painted with mildew, and there were more holes than glass in the two small, frosted windows.
"Yep! It's got character, don't ya reckon?" He said as he glanced at the flashing answering machine. "Besides, it'd be too much effort to fix up something that's only temporary."

Of course...

"So...you gonna check those, or what?" I asked; making a disgusted face as my eyes settled in a bucket; capturing an unsightly fluid that leaked from the ceiling.
"Nah. Guarantee they're all from other pros wanting me to work with them. They think I'm..." He lifted his gloved fingers to quote/unquote. "...inexperienced..."
"Well, you are kinda young for the pro scene...and you look like one heck of a millennial..." I explained frankly; earning myself a light glare.
"Well, this millennial is about to start your relentless training! To the roof with ya!" He pointed to the ceiling and I groaned; moving over to open the window.
"Yes, sir..." I muttered; my scowl growing as I realised the damn thing wouldn't budge.
"Uh, yeah...they don't open. We gotta use the stairs..."

I suddenly regret my decision...

--------------------------------------------------------

"Now, you gotta watch me like a hawk!" He chuckled; ignoring my seething form as he spread out his wings. "I noticed you kept your dominant leg straight when reaching the ground...you gotta bend it a little, and lean backwards, not forwards...unless you actually want to snog the pavement..."
"It's a mystery as to why people don't want you working on your own..." I remarked sarcastically, but he completely ignored me and took off from the edge of the building. As shitty as I was, I watched him like he had asked. I hated to admit it, but he was rather graceful.

Yeah...for a dwarfy fuck boy...

"Aaaaaaand...voila! Flawless landing!" He announced as he came to stand in front of me, looking overly proud of himself. "Your turn, Sunshine!"
"Easy..." I grunted; activating my quirk and smirking as Hawks shielded his eyes due to the burst of light.

It really wasn't easy.

Over and over again I became rather intimate with the cement, and over and over again I had to suffer through Hawks' guffawing.
"Sh..shut up! You're a shit teacher!" I barked; dusting myself off. My poor body was already black and blue; all because I couldn't fucking land.
"Not my fault you're hopeless. C'mon, I wanna try something." Hawks yanked me back into the air by my wrist and I yelped in surprise. "Don't activate your quirk again. I don't wanna be a Sunday roast, thanks!" I did as he told me; my heart palpitating in my chest as I looked at just how much distance there was between me and solid ground. Too much.
"If you fucking drop me, I swear to god I'll haunt your ass so fucking bad..!" I hissed with a shaky voice. I wasn't sure that I trusted him enough to go through with whatever his plan was.
"I won't drop you...and even if I do, I can probably catch you before you hit the ground!" He said carelessly.
"I don't like your tone..." I was fine with heights; being up high didn't phase me one bit, but it was the thought of falling that made me sick to my stomach. I held my breath as he pulled my back flush to his chest; each of his hands tightly grasping my elbows. He placed his larger feet beneath mine in the air and began to descend slowly.
"Follow my body, yeah? It's kind of like walking, except, like...not on the ground!"

Fucking A grade teaching skills there, buddy...

I allowed him to puppeteer me through the sky towards the roof of the building; tongue pressed hard against my molars. If I screwed it up, that was it. I was out. I didn't even know why I felt like that mattered. I tried to brace myself for impact, but instead, I found myself counting the beats of Hawks' heart against my back. It was kinda fast, and synced perfectly with mine. I only broke out of my thoughts when we stepped lightly onto the ground; a flawless landing with him as my guide.
"W..we did it..." I murmured; still pressed close to the pro hero.
"Mmhmm. Didn't you trust me?" He questioned; his breath breaking against the back of my head. I turned slightly; blinking a few times before I realised our closeness and stumbled away from him.
"H..honestly..? No...not really..." I admitted; staring up at the sky, which had started to glow bright with the fresh new colours of sunset. "L..let me try it on my own..." He nodded; stepping aside and simply watching me as I activated my quirk and took flight. I circled above a few times; chewing the inside of my cheek as I replayed his movements in my mind.

It's like walking on air...I can do this...

I wasn't sure why, but I kept my sights on Hawks. The glint of his visor acted as my target as I attempted my solo landing, and for some reason I felt less nervous. Just a little. Just before I made contact, I closed my eyes and imagined his body by mine; guiding me down until I came to a steady stop. I hadn't fallen flat on my face this time.
"Howdy." The nearness of Hawks' voice startled me, and I opened my eyes, only to leap back and fall straight onto my already sore ass. I had halted directly in front of him. Almost on top of him. It wouldn't have surprised me in the slightest if he had taken a few steps back just to save me from the embarrassment of colliding with him.
"M..maybe you're not the worst teacher...I guess..." I muttered under my breath with the intention of him hearing.
"And maybe you're not the worst student." He replied with a cheeky wink. I quickly turned away from him to avoid falling victim to his charms and strode quickly towards the edge again.
"Again." I said firmly; cautiously eyeing the setting sun.

I can probably fit in a few more tries before I have to stop...maybe six or seven...

I only managed to complete three.

It started with that familiar, frosty sensation; growing out from between my shoulder blades. Instinctively, I shut off my quirk without thinking, and that's when I began to fall.

"H..Hawks!" I squealed out his name as I plummeted to certain death, but I didn't have to. He was already there; strong arms grabbing me around the middle with a slight grunt. He really was skilled in his field.
"Wow, trust you to take falling for me to a whole new level..." He snickered; continuing away from the roof towards the direction of his apartment.
"Fuck off. I was rather graceful!" I snapped; crossing my arms once I confirmed that he had a good hold on me.
"Pfft...yeah...graceful like a brick..." He just smiled back at my grumpy face as usual, and we flew along in silence as the world grew darker. I wanted to keep up my sour front, but it was difficult when I felt so comfortable in his arms. So...right.

Nope...nuh-uh...no fucking way...not now, not ever!

"So..." Hawks broke the silence as he stared straight ahead. "...what's the go with your wings? Why'd they start to turn black from the base..?"

Oh fuck...

My jaw clenched tight, and I felt extremely on edge. Suddenly, falling to my death sounded rather appealing.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said flatly as I stared at the fur-line collar of his coat.
"Nothing gets past these eyes, Sunshine...but, if you don't wanna talk about it, it's not gonna bother me. Your business is your business." He hummed; spitting out a bug that had managed to make it's way into his mouth.
"Says the bag of chicken dicks that stalked me twelve blocks and whined for me to come home with him..." I retorted; wiping his excess spittle from my cheek in disgust.
"I didn't whine, I just put a tempting offer on the table...and I didn't stalk you. I tracked you." He said with an indignant huff. "You peaked my interest."
"But why?!" I squirmed about a little, and he tightened his grip.

You wouldn't be interested if you saw it all...

A teasing smile played his lips, and it made my soul tingle somewhere behind it's cold facade.
"That's my business."

***Yeah, I guess this is more of a filler than anything lmao. I have the flu but I'm trying to work on all my bnha stuff!
Also, I drew this scene from chapter one cuz I was bored? I don't like how it turned out (especially cuz I've never drawn Hawks before and wings are worse than hands) but it's something. For this one I based (Y/N)'s appearance off one of my friends***
