M I N G Y U

I sat at my desk, writing nonsense in my notebook. I was pretending to do some "work" when in reality, I was waiting for Soo-young to get here. I tapped on my desk impatiently and checked my Rolex. She should be here in five minutes.

I hear the faint echo of heels clicking from outside. It gets louder by the second. There were three knocks and I smile knowing that she was behind those doors. She's the only one that does that.

"Come in." I say, loud enough for her to hear.

I scribble down some random numbers and I can feel her approach my desk.

"I've got your coffee, sir." She tells me.

I flip the page before looking up at her. She flashes me a smile while handing me the cup. I grab a hold of it, making sure to brush my fingers against hers before she pulls away. I can see a shade of red tint her cheeks before she turns around.

"Thank you, Ms.Park." I smirk while taking a sip.

She clears her throat before placing her bag down and taking out her notebook. I watch as she opens it and turns to a page.

"You don't have any meetings today but, your father would like an end of the month report in by tomorrow." She says.

I watch as her eyes flicker across the page, checking if she's missing anything. I spot a piece of lint in her hair, probably from the cardigan that she was wearing.

"It seems like you're free today." She tells me with a small smile.

I walk up to her and she looks up at me, wondering what I'm doing. I raise my hand up to her hair, leaning in closer to her. I feel her freeze under my touch. I gently take the piece of lint out of her hair, lifting my hand in front of her face to show her. I turn around to hide the smirk on my face.

S O O - Y O U N G

It was ten minutes before my lunch break and I was craving some spicy rice cakes at the moment.

"Hey, since i'm free this whole day we should go and do something." Mr.Kim spoke up.

I look up and he's staring at me. I thought that he was talking to someone on the phone. My eyebrows knit together in confusion.

"We?" I ask.

"Yeah, let's go get lunch. My treat." He says while standing up from his chair.

"N-no you don't hav–" I said before he cut me off.

"Are you turning down my offer? I find that a bit rude." He stares at me with a playful grin.

I just look up at him, not knowing what to say.

"Let's go right now, I'm in the mood for some spicy rice cakes. What about you?" He tells me as I grab my purse.
