Y/n's POV
Ever since you left the hospital, you felt very strange about leaving Veronica and Ethan alone. Maybe it was only jealousy, but still.

If you were worried and jealous over your own best friend, then that's going to be a problem. You sighed and brushed your delicate fingers through your y/h/c hair; keeping your eyes pinned on the road.

Considering that it was still pretty early in the morning, you decided to go to school and catch up on some work. You continued to drive in silence; only letting the sound of your own thoughts swarm your ears.

"Why'd you leave?" Grayson asked while walking me into the lunch room.

"I thought I'd let them catch up. They were close, I didn't want to get in between them." You said, not telling the entire truth.

"Okay." Grayson sighed, obviously showing that he didn't believe you.

"What?" You scoffed.

"Oh, nothing." He said now walking in the lunch line.

You both grabbed a trey and walked forward into the line. You picked out an apple and a salad, while Grayson chose a slice of pizza and a juice. Typical of him.

"No, really. What is it?" You bugged.

"I said nothing, y/n. Don't worry about it." He continued.

Once you guys were in the front of the line, Grayson put in his lunch code and you followed the same directions. He sighed, and you rolled your eyes, playfully punching his shoulder.

"Ow! Hey!" Grayson whined.

"Stop acting dumb and just tell me." You demanded.

You both walked to a nearby table and sat down, unloading your treys. You kept a glare on Grayson, but he wouldn't look at you. He just made you even more annoyed.

"It's just," Grayson started, and paused.

"What?" You asked, wanting him to finish his statement.

"Look, I can tell you like Ethan. And I know that it bugs you that they're alone together; considering they were so close and that Ethan has a crush on her." Grayson shrugged.

"What?!" You blurted out pretty loud; gaining the attention from some students sitting at nearby tables.

"Y-you didn't know about that...did you?" He stuttered; knowing he just gave you too much information.

"No!" You blurted again.

You looked around and saw multiple people making long glances towards your way. You jolted your eyes back down to the table and sighed.

"Look, I don't like Ethan. Maybe I had a crush or something in the past, but everything is gone." You lied.

"Mhm." He hummed, sipping on his juice and rolling his eyes.
