Ethan's POV
"He didn't deserve this." I mumbled as y/n drove me home.

My father...he uh...yeah, a while ago. Cameron and Grayson went out to eat with my mother and discuss the funeral details and such. I didn't want to be apart of that, so y/n decided to take me home.

"Bad things happen to good people all the time, but you have to stay strong for him." Y/n comforted.

"I caused him so much stress over the years...I probably made it worse for him somehow." I sniffed.

"You couldn't have done anything to make his health issues worse, E. You know that." She sighed as she patted my shoulder.

"But I did so many bad things...he only tried to help but I just got worse and worse." I explained as the tears welled up again in my eyes.

"You didn't d-"

"Yes I did!" I shouted out of frustration; causing y/n to slightly flinch.

"I'm sorry...it's just a lot right now." I sighed.

"You wanna talk about it?" She asked.

"You won't ever forgive me if I do." I shook my head.

"Anthony told me a small bit...but I don't believe him." Y/n admit.

I jolted my head to her in shock and felt my heart rate begin to speed up. All the things he could've told her about...but which ones?

"W-What did he say..?" I asked slowly.

"Just that you dated a girl, and things ended badly." She shrugged.

"Is that all?" I asked looking back in front of me; hoping that what she said was all the information she has.

"Yeah." She nodded.

Good.

...

"Do you want to talk about it...I'm here?" She asked again.

I sighed and looked out my window; watching as we passed by multiple trees and buildings. I don't know if I want her to know or not...but I'll have to tell her eventually.

Why not get it over with now?

"No...I'm fine." I lied.

C'mon Ethan, think of what your dad said...

"A-Actually...Yeah. I would." I sighed.

"That's good. Where do you want to start?" She asked.

"I was supposed to tutor you that one day...I'm sorry." I apologized as I turned me head to her.

She looked to me for a split second before refocusing her eyes on the road in from of her. She nodded to herself and smiled.
