Your POV
"Sounds great, Anthony. I'll see you Friday night." You said before taking your phone away from your cheek and pressing the red button to end your call.

"Who's Anthony?" You mother said as she walked into the kitchen.

You looked up at her and smiled. She walked towards the living room and sat down on the couch beside you; resting her cheek on her hand.

"Just someone I met at school." You said.

"Will I be meeting this 'someone' anytime soon?" She teased.

"No, mom. It's not like that. I'm gonna go out with some friends and he was just invited." You lied.

"Who's going?" She asked.

"A few friends you don't know, and umm...Veronica." You lied again.

"Oh! Have Ethan go with you. He needs friends. And that Veronica girl likes him." She suggested.

"No thanks mom. It's like a girls night out sort of thing." You said.

"But Anthony isn't a girl. Anthony is a boys name isn't it?" She said.

"Fine, mom. Ethan can go." You sighed.

"What's wrong? I thought you two were like best friends?" She asked out if confusion.

"It's just weird that Ethan's dating Veronica." You lied...again.

"They're dating now? I didn't know that; I just thought it was a crush." She said raising her eyebrows out of slight shock.

"Well, there's a lot of things you don't know about him." You shrugged while getting up from the couch and walking away from your mother.

Ever since your guys' argument, at the hospital she was in, things haven't been the same. Sure, you'd still be nice and obviously wouldn't want to get in trouble by giving non stop attitude, but you haven't been as close with her as you used to be.

Your small feet traveled down the hall and into Ethan's room. You knocked a few times before he answered the door with a weak smile.

"Hey, whats up?" He asked; holding the door close to his body.

"I'm going out with some people and my mom wants me to invite you." You mumbled.

"Doesn't seem like you agreed with her on that." He scoffed.

"Look, I'll just skip all this and tell her you didn't want to come. Alright?" You said.

"When are you going out?" He asked.

"Friday." You answered.

"Who's going? Veronica?" He asked another question.

"No, just Anthony. I'm sure you wouldn't want to third wheel with us anyway." You sighed before turning around to walk away. Ethan grabbed your arm and pulled you into his room.
