Chapter 21
Evie's POV // For You 

Unfortunately is was time to pull ourselves away from our romantic moment on the pier and bring ourselves back to the reality of our careers. However, I'm very excited that after leaving that little adventure we are both walking away with a new title of boyfriend and girlfriend.

The after party at Beck's had already started by the time we arrived, but we weren't late enough for anyone to notice our absence.

We arrive together, since my car was still here from the night before and I had ridden to the festival with Beck early this morning. Additionally, there wasn't really a reason for us to arrive separately now.

We step out of the car and walk with our heads down towards the cafe, hopeful to at least avoid the paparazzi until we have the chance to tell our family and friends before we get papped. But not caring quite enough to go to the effort of walking in separately, because frankly even an inch of space between us is too much right now.

Our plan is to tell our friends about us tonight, and then Niall wants to post the pictures of us tomorrow.

Niall informed me on our drive to Beck's that he had already given his management a heads up that this was happening. He even went so far as to tell them that there was no need for an argument because as long as I said yes it would be happening with or without their blessing.

Thankfully they didn't put up a fight, but asked that he not disclose any album information until I signed an NDA. Niall seems annoyed by that, but I get it and have no problem signing the contract.

When we walk through the doors of the party, we walk side by side saying 'hello's to friends and business contacts as we make our way through the party with our final destination being our group of friends sat in the back, our hands never leaving each other through this task.

Luckily for us we share a friend group here, so we find all of the important people in the same spot —saving us time as we only have to make this announcement once.

Beck, Nora, Beck's band, Niall's band, Shawn Mendes --which is still bazaar to me, but in addition to being Niall's friend he and Beck are also writing together soon. I guess I have to get used to that.

A few other friends of ours are also gathered around together and we subtly slip into the group waiting to see how long it takes them to realize our presence.

"There they are!" Beck yells, announcing our arrival.

"Hi everybody!" Niall says, a wide smile stilled etched into his face as I wave a greeting with the free hand that isn't entwined with Niall's.

I watch Nora closely, knowing she'll be the first to notice us holding hands, but as I watch her she isn't looking at me but she's watching Niall and she smirks and gives him the smallest of nods when she makes eye contact with him.

Finally her eyes flick to mine, the smirk on her face turning to a proud smile but she still doesn't say anything.
