Chapter 79
Niall's POV //

I've just finished getting ready for the day when Evie steps into the ensuite bathroom of our room at my parents house.

"Good morning." She whispers, hugging me from behind. She takes a deep breath, no doubt breathing in the smell of my cologne that I just put on before she walked in.

"Good morning." I reply, turning and tugging her around to my front with her arms never leaving their place wrapped around my torso. I lean her bum against the bathroom counter and kiss her deeply.

I can't wait for us to have mornings like these in our house.

Yes, we officially have a house. It's ours...Evie just doesn't know that yet.

"You were out of bed early this morning. I wanted a cuddle and you were gone." I chuckle, holding her tightly feeling her giggle in response.

"Yeah I woke up pretty early and couldn't sleep anymore. I heard your mom down stairs making breakfast so I went to help." She replies with a smile on her face as she looks up at me with her palms on my chest.

"You helped make breakfast?" I raise my eyebrows in surprise. "And it's edible?"

"Yes!" She scoffs, slapping me gently on the chest.

I ignore her efforts to push me away in annoyance and I pull her closer to me and nuzzle into her neck, this turns her annoyance into giggles which means i've done my job correctly.

"I'm only jokin'..." I concede letting her escape from my arms after a firm kiss on her cheek. "I can't wait to try it. The house does smell delicious."

"Well there is some left downstairs for you. Your mom and I already ate." Evie informs me, turning to look at herself in the mirror before she starts pulling out her makeup items.

"You two ate breakfast without me and Chris? No family breakfast on Christmas Eve?!" I ask in shock and fake offense.

"Yes, we are off to town to pick up a few things. Couldn't wait on you boys to sleep the day away!" She smiles, pausing the swipes of her mascara wand long enough to look at my reflection over her shoulder.

"You're going to town today? It's going to be a madhouse."

"Yeah, but that's half the fun!" She chuckles. "My dad and I usually go out to finish our Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve just so we can see all the hustle and bustle. You know I'm a sucker for a Christmas tradition."

That is true...I've lost count of how many cheesy Christmas movies we've watch on our holiday. Mark will have his work cut out for him when I get back into the gym to start preparing for tour. I'm going to be working for months to work off all the Christmas cookies.

I'm not complaining. I love every second of it. I've never spent a Christmas with someone I loved, but this is exactly what it should feel like. Full of love and happiness and all the cliche Christmas traditions anyone can think of.
