Chapter 84
Evie's POV // No Goodbyes Tonight

December 28th - 4 days

"Niall?!" I call out, from my spot on the floor of my closet where I am currently surrounded in a mount of clothes. "Niallllll?!"

"Yes, Love?" He answers, popping his head into the closet and immediately breaking into an amused grin at the sight.

"I need more boxes." I admit in defeat.

"It will only take a couple boxes to pack my closet." He says in a mock voice that I guess is supposed to represent mine. "I can fit all of my shoes in one box." He continues, holding up a black high heel that has fallen out of the over flowing box in front of him.

It's true...he did try to tell me that my closet would probably need more boxes than the rest of the house. I stubbornly protested and made a wager with him that I could pack all of my clothes in 3 boxes and all of my shoes in one.

Whoever won the bet would be in charge of dinner tonight and would receive a massage in front of the fire tonight.

"A massage will be excellent tonight. My back will be so sore from carrying all of these boxes." He laughs cheekily, winking at me before he leaves the closet and returns with 4 more empty boxes.

"No one likes a sore winner." I wag my head at him which only makes him smile more.

"Awww come on, i'm just teasing! But you're so cute when you pout." He chuckles. He leans down and kisses my forehead and all of my fake annoyance with him from moments ago fades away. "Would you like some help?"

"Sure. If you hand me those dresses I will fold them and put them in the box." I suggest and he nods.

A few dresses in, he stops and holds up a red satin dress that he seems to like. "I've never seen this one before."

"Ah yes, that's because it hasn't fit since my college graduation." I laugh. "Well...I can probably still fit into it, but it's a bit snug in a few places."

"Hmmm...I bet it would be snug in all the right places." He smirks and I snatch the dress from his hands. I roll my eyes at him in the process but I can't help but smile at him too as my cheeks heat up the way they always do when he says things like that.

"Now this one...This one I definitely remember." He smiles, holding up the dress I wore the night we officially met for the first time. The night I opened the door to welcome Beck into my house to meet Nora, and was met with an additional set of blue eyes glistening back at me. That night was pivotal for all of us. Beck and Nora, and Niall and I all have our happily ever afters because of that night.

"That was a pretty good night, huh?" I ask, smiling up at him as he hands me the black sequin dress. I take the material in my hands and lay it in my lap. I can almost feel the nerves and excitement from that night all over again.
