Chapter 78
Evie's POV //
"Darling! Come on. We're going to be late if we don't hurry..." Niall called from the bottom of the stairs of his Mum's house.
"I'm coming! Just a second!"
I've never traveled this much in my life, but in a matter of days I've found myself standing in LA, Nashville, London, and Ireland. I don't know how Niall did this for years. My fear of flying has gotten better as a result of all of this travel, but I have this suspicion that jet lag will knock me out any day now.
A few days after the American Music Awards, I flew back to Nashville --with Niall in tow.
He was supposed to stay in LA and work, but in typical Niall fashion he rearranged his schedule and came with me instead. His excuse, as he was haphazardly throwing jeans and shirts into a bag, was '5 days wasn't enough.'
While I whole heartedly agree, we are spending the entire Christmas holiday together in Ireland and he's going to have to take some time off to move into our new house, if we find one this week, so he really should have concentrated on work.
But am I going to complain and stop him from being with me? Absolutely not.
We were in Nashville a mere 4 days before hopping on another plane to fly to London and then here for our Christmas holiday, but our pitstop in Nashville gave me enough time to pack some things and tell Nora the news.
Beck was happy for us, but Nora was in shock. We have always been inseparable. Her time abroad last year was the longest we've ever been apart, but that was temporary. Knowing that this is a long-term move, made her a bit sad.
She and I had one of our back porch chats and after a good cry about it she wished us well. She made me promise that I would call her every day and come back to continue our back porch chats, which of course was part of my plan all along.
"Nora, remember when you said that maybe Jaxon and I had become toxic for each other?" I had asked her, sitting bundled up on my back porch that night.
"Yeah."
"Well I think Nashville might be that for me now..." I told her regretfully and I watched a look of sadness etch her features. "It's not that I don't love it here, because I always will...I just think there's more distracting me here than is doing me good. I need to be with the person who is good for me."
"And that person is Niall." She smiled once again. "I've said that from day one."
Our Nashville stop seemed like a whirlwind, and our stop in London was even quicker than that, but before I knew it we were here. Ireland.
Christmas is 5 days away, but Niall's real estate agent has graciously agreed to take time out of his holiday to show Niall and I some properties in the area. I feel bad that we're interrupting anyones family time so close to Christmas, but I'm sure Niall is compensating him well for his time.
