Evie's POV // There Goes My Heart Beating

Maura, Denise and I took a girls trip to town to get the items we would need for dinner, and afterwards the family spent the majority of the afternoon in the kitchen working together to make our meal.

If almost feels like a traditional American thanksgiving, all of us working together to produce a large meal that we'll share while sitting around a table with the ones you love.

I'm sure in all of Niall's travels he's experienced Thanksgiving in the States, but this does make me realize that we're beginning to blend two cultures here. I make a mental note to ask Niall to spend Thanksgiving with my family in a few weeks, thinking we could balance it by spending Christmas here.

The next day, Niall and I spent the day out and about so he could show me around. We had a lovely dinner together in a small but very romantic spot in town.

Niall always makes a point to make sure our dinners at home are over candle light, and he wouldn't have it any differently for this dinner either.

I told him that I was fine with something simple, but he insisted that showing me his favorite city in the world was a special occasion and it called for a romantic dinner.

I didn't complain though, the dinner was spectacular. Truthfully though, I know Niall was excited to show me around, but the dinner was only special because he loves spoiling me with these kind of things.

He tests my normal resolve to take care of myself, but I'm working on it. I love him so much.

After dinner we made plans to go to Greg and Denise's for dessert and drinks, which I was really looking forward to as Denise and I hit it off quite nicely the day before.

Niall had been kept busy by Theo most of the night. I know he doesn't mind though, he loves the little guy and hates he misses out on so much. I love seeing him with his family, but watching him play with Theo is something special.

Theo has so much adoration for him. If Niall is in the room that's all Theo cares about, which is why it was surprising when Theo asked if I could put him to bed.

"Alright, bub...shall we read your bedtime story and get you tucked in?" Denise asked Theo, coming her fingers through his hair and out of his eyes.

"Want me to read to you?" Niall asked, standing up from where he had been sitting on the floor.

"Can Auntie Evie read me a story?" Theo asked.

Niall was a little taken aback, and for a second I thought he was going to be offended, but then a sweet smile covered his face. The smile he has when he looks at me.

"Well, you'll have to ask her yourself." Niall told Theo, glancing proudly at me and giving me a subtle wink.
