Evie's POV // I Need You | part II

He said it.

I knew it before he said it, but being a chronic over thinker and knowing that this is hard for him to admit made it even more special to here.

"I'll be there." I nod as tears start to stream down my face.

I didn't mean to cry, or make this a really emotional talk, but I can't negate the gravity of all of this.

He pulls me to his chest and kisses me head before resting his chin on top of it.

"I don't want you to just stop your life for me. I know you have things to take care of, but I just want you there whenever you can be." He explains.

Bless him.

"I spoke with you dad the other night..." I tell him, leaning back to look at him.

He furrows his brow slightly, using his thumb to flick a tear off of my cheek.

"He wishes he had been there for you more." I don't really know if I should tell him that, but he deserves to know.

"I know he does." He nods and looks down.

"I —I just want you to know that if you need me, i'll be there. I do have my own responsibilities but you're the most important thing to me." I explain reaching over to hold his hand. "I want to stand by you through this." I smile when he looks at me again.

"I want you to stand by me too. I'd love to show you off a little bit as well." He smiles and his eyes glisten. I love when he looks at me like that, but it makes me blush and I can't help it.

"Well i'm not in it for recognition an you know that..." I shrug.

"And that makes me want to show you off even more." He kisses me sweetly on the lips. "It's not because I want to just show you off for my benefit, but because I want the world to know that I am so madly in love with most beautiful woman in the world. And she's the best thing in my life and all i'll ever need."

Those are some pretty big statements, but my stomach flips at the acknowledgement that he means every word and I feel the exact same way. My cheeks blush again and I tuck into his shoulder to hide a little bit, he pressing kisses everywhere he can reach.

"God I love you, Evie." He breathes, overcome with emotion himself.

I smile when I pull back so I can look at him. "I love you more than you could ever know." I tell him, leaning in to connect our lips again.

After a few seconds of reveling in our love for each other I speak up again.

"So...I try not to ask too much about the album and all, but...are there any plans in motion yet?" I ask.
