Chapter 76
Evie's POV // Picture Perfect

I'm looking up at him as his hands find my waist and pull my body to his. It's his signature move and I know that every time he does it, it ends with his lips on mine and I crave that feeling now and always. I don't even care how many people are scattered around us, right now it's just us.

I bite my lips in anticipation just as he leans in, but we're interrupted when someone yells his name.

"Niall!"

We both turn our gaze in the direction of the voice just in time for him to be tackled by a tall, lanky brunette. I immediately feel this sickly feeling of fire burning within me; a feeling I know to be called jealousy.

"Hailee!" He replies with a wide smile on his face as he drops my hand to accommodate her hug.

Not that he needed both arms to hug her...she's the size of a toothpick. One arm would have sufficed.

"How are you?!" She beams, holding him at arms length.

"Great! How have you been?" He asks her, not even bothering to introduce me as I stand behind him.

"Fantastic! Super busy, but I've got a lot of fun projects coming up so I can't complain!" She replies with a smile that's just as perky as her boobs that are barely covered by her pathetic excuse for a top that I would deem a glorified bra.

"New music? 'Let Me Go' is an absolute banger!" Niall compliments.

"Still working on the music...but i'm touring with Charlie next year and I might be filming a new movie... I'm pretty stoked about it."

"Congrats! I would have you on my tour myself if I had an album to tour yet." He laughs, she giggles, and I fight the urge to gag.

She'd be on his tour over my dead body.

Calm down Evie... I would be calm if he hadn't completely forgotten about me the second she walked up.

Insecurity is a b—

"Hey, I'll be in London in the next few months. Maybe we can have dinner if you're around." She suggests, interrupting my thoughts, and I swallow hard at the thought of her suggestion.

"Yeah that would be great!" His response, however, makes me choke on air before I have a chance to suppress my reaction.

"You alright, darling?" He asks, resting his hand on my lower back and looking at me full of concern as my coughing fit suddenly reminds him that I exist.

"Yeah, sorry...just a cough." I say quietly to him, while my eyes lock with his and plead with him to catch the telepathic message i'm desperately trying to send.
