Chapter 33
Evie's POV // Home
I finish my cup of coffee and head off to shower and get ready for the impending arrival of the love of my life. The smile that his little surprise gave me hasn't left my face since I read his note.
"Good morning, beautiful." Is the first thing he says when I open the door, right at 11:00 as promised. I smile, pulling him into a deep kiss after i've shut the door.
"Thank you for my flowers." I saw lowly, wrapping my arms loosely around his neck as we waddle back towards the living room with his hands securely around my waist.
"I'm glad you like them. Do you know the answer to the question?" He asks with a cheeky grin.
"I was in such a hurry to get ready that I forgot about it...What is today?"
He smiles wider, but instead of answering me he connects our lips for a long romantic kiss, leaning our foreheads together when we've finished.
"Happy anniversary." He whispers.
I flick my wrist, checking the date on my watch.
October 9th. Exactly one month since we met in the airport.
"A month..." I sigh, happily. "It feel like so much longer. And look, the bump on my head is finally gone too!" I laugh, rubbing my head as I recall the fall that facilitated our meeting.
Niall throws his head back laughing, kissing the spot that was home to a goose eggs for a week or so after that event.
"A month can be an anniversary right?" Niall asks.
"A month-iversary?" I shrug, both of us laughing. "I'm fine with any term as long as it results in me getting flowers and love notes."
"I'll remember that then." Niall jokes. "Happy month-iversary, Love." He smiles, kissing my lips again.
"Lunch?" He asks.
"Yes, i'm starving!" I answer with an excited smile.
"Our place?" He asks, and I know exactly where he's referring to.
"Our place." I nod, smiling widely.
The brunch spot we went to after our little announcement. I love that we have a 'place'. It feels very home-y, and normal and normal is something that I need for us to succeed and I know Niall needs it too.
I would go anywhere, and do anything with him as long as we have breakfast dates at 'our place' to come home to every now and then.
"How are you feeling after last night?" He asks quietly, holding my hand across the car.
