"Nice that you mention it, I wanted teach you all along", is something that both Donnie and Leo would say. They might have even asked you before. Way before you were even considering it. They know how dangerous the "real world" is and wanted you to be safe. The least you could do is learn some basics. They wouldn't suggest getting a knife or something similar since you might hurt yourself more than the attacker. So, basic self defense it is then. Raph and Mikey would be surprised but help you as well. However, with Raph and Mikey you might have some trouble: Raph being too rough with you at times and Mikey not being able to keep his hands to himself. As for Leo and Donnie. We all know Leo is the best ninja and would do everything to make sure you're able to protect yourself. Donnie too. Although it's hard to find time with him being in the lab constantly, the normal necessities (like eating and sleeping) and spending time with - alone - you.
