Even if it happened right in front of their eyes they still couldn't believe it. You ... transformed ... into this ... thing. Right here, right then. Granted you were in danger - attacked by the foot - but good God. How did this happen? They were all too shocked to say anything at all. And seeing you eat that guy? What the hell? That was nasty. Needed maybe since that alien or whatever it was needed to eat but still, nasty. You would need to do a lot of explaining. How it happened, what this thing is (even though Venom can speak for himself but oh well), does it hurt, does he hurt you? Don't expect them to swoon all over you like "oh my god this is so cool". It was interesting to say the least. But awesome? Maybe not ... yet. They would get used to it obviously but no matter how many times they've seen you transform it would always catch them off guard.
