Chapter 8: Do I want to be his girl?

"Don't move!" Aizawa put on his yellow goggles as he commanded you guys to stay in a group. "So, they're the ones that broke in the other day." You heard him mutter to himself.

All of you guys tensed up when more and more villains kept showing up.

"They're stupid to break into a Hero school!" You wanted to agree with Kirishima's statement but you couldn't shake the sense of foreboding away.

"Did they only appear here, or the whole school? Either way, they must have someone who can send them in without being caught by the alarm. In a building far from school, right when a class is in session...they're fools but not dumb. There is a motive to this carefully planned attack." Todoroki carefully evaluated the situation, his bi-colored eyes scanning the hoard of incoming villains.

You timidly pulled on his iced sleeve, a question in your mind that you had been wanting to ask Todoroki.

"If it comes to it...will you use your left side?"

Todoroki had an intimidating glare as he closely watched the villains, but the sound of your gentle voice drew his attention away from them. He had to admit he was shaken up by your question and needed a moment to think about how to respond.

"Because I have a very bad feeling about this." You frowned with worry and regret.

Worry because of the approaching villains and the ominous feeling you still had in the pit of your stomach and regret because maybe you shouldn't have asked him that question since Todoroki didn't answer.

He had a stony expression on his face at first when he looked down at you but then his expression noticeably softened as he continued to gaze at you.

"-If I have to protect you..." His voice was quiet but serious, easily capturing your attention.

Your ears twitched, completely enraptured by his response even though he had only uttered a few words.

"Shoto..."

Just then, Aizawa jumped down towards the villains, leaving Thirteen to take care of you guys.

Your face was overtaken with extreme anxiety. After all, you were just starting to see him as a father figure or uncle at least.

"Aizawa-sensei is amazing but he can't take them all on his own..." You gritted your teeth, drawing out your claws.

You wanted nothing more than to jump in and help and you almost did, but Todoroki put his arm in front of you, blocking you from doing so.

"Look, he's fine. We need to get somewhere safe." Todoroki grabbed your hand, motioning to Aizawa, who was outnumbered, but was still kicking some serious ass.

You couldn't argue since he pulled you along so that you guys were running behind the others.

Once you guys were near the exit, the purple and black cloudy villain with glowing yellow eyes appeared before you guys.

"I won't let you. Nice to meet you all, we are the Villain League. We're here to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath."

"Good luck, because that's not happening!" You snarled, the heat on your hands ready to ignite into a flame if needed.

"Oh, how convenient. y/n is here too." He said with a lively tone, not intimidated by you at all.

"What...? How do you know my name?!"

"Can't tell you that, but we have orders to capture you if possible."

At hearing the villain's threat, Thirteen immediately pointed his finger out towards him, ready to use his Black Hole Quirk. Before Thirteen could activate it though, you could only gasp and watch in distress, seeing Bakugo fearlessly jump into the air and lunge towards the villain.
