You were standing next to Todoroki, letting out a bored yawn while staring up at the ceiling to avoid your eyes from drooping.
You folded your arms over your chest as you waited for Endeavor to grace you two with his presence. But just a little earlier, you were upset when Todoroki told you after you had heaved your luggage to the side of the room and crashed on the bed, that you and him still had to meet up with Endeavor tonight.
Poor Todoroki, he basically had to drag you out while you fought him tooth and nail.
Today wasn't exactly what you were expecting for internship day one...
"Finally." You muttered under your breath once the number two Hero came waltzing out of his office.
"I've been waiting for you, Shoto. It seems you are finally ready to take the path of the mighty, huh?" Endeavor crossed his arms and you rolled your eyes at the fact that he just seemed to be ignoring you.
"I have no intention of going down a path you made. I will take my own path." Though Todoroki's face remained emotionless and voice monotonous, the gentle smile and the promising look in his eye when he tilted his head to you made you relax.
It seemed to make all your worries vanish in that fleeting moment.
"Oh, is that so? Well, you should get ready, too." Endeavor finally acknowledged you, his turquoise eyes falling to your form and sizing you up. "We're going out."
You and Todoroki shot each other surprised looks.
"What? Where?! Is there a villain around?" Your voice found its way out of your throat, but you swallowed once you felt its dryness.
Despite your nervousness, you let a flame produce in the palm of your hand.
Endeavor chuckled, his voice growing more zealous.
"Hoho, didn't I tell you there was a reason I liked this puny little neko, Shoto?"
You had to choke back your retort with a pout when Todoroki merely shook his head at you, signaling you to stand down.
"I'll show you two what a Hero is." The flaming Hero had a wide grin on his face, making you gulp and look at Todoroki for some sense of comfort again.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE HE HAD US CHANGE INTO OUR HERO COSTUMES JUST FOR US TO DO PAPERWORK!" You balled your fists, shaking them in the air and kicking off your shoes as you plopped onto the single bed, face first.
Try growing up with him as a father... The haunting thought only went through Todoroki's head for a second as he tightened his left fist, because the sound of your unexpectedly sweet tone snapped him out of it.
