Chapter 94: Uwabami Headquarters

The walk between you and Bakugo to his parent's office was almost painfully awkward.

There was no exchange of any words between you two and almost no interaction besides him eventually grumbling at you and taking the lead since you didn't know where to go.

You were just grateful that it was the time of day when most people were getting off work, so there was at least the hustle and bustle of cars and people around to keep the silence between you two from becoming too insufferable. Before you knew it though, Bakugo came to a halt, him staring up at a lavish looking high rise building.

It was the tallest on the block with 'Uwabami' written in glittery gold letters on the front of the building.

So, this is where Mitsuki and Masaru work...and where Momo interned...the Uwabami headquarters...!! You gawked up at it, eyes sparkling until Bakugo snapped his fingers in front of your face.

"C'mon, let's go! We don't have all fucking day!" He barked, tugging on your sleeve and dragging you inside with him.

You were already quite impressed by the interior of the lobby.

It was still classy and elegant with little accents of plums and magenta colors that popped with most of the gold décor and white furniture.

There were hardly any people around considering the time, but the few that were wore fashionable and semi business like attire.

You felt a tad out of place since you were still in casual comfy clothes because you had been at the workshop the whole day.

"Oh, Katsuki! Haven't seen you in such a long time! My, how you've grown-!" Were the first words that came out of the receptionist's mouth when she saw Bakugo.

He ignored the few stares he got for being called out, obviously trying to avoid any more attention by the way he kept his head forward while trying to trudge past, with him still clutching onto you. He nearly succeeded until a tic mark popped up at his temple when he heard her remark about him finally having a girlfriend. He paused in place, and you could feel his entire body tense.

You were for sure he was going to whip around and yell at her, but he surprised you when he just muttered something so low that even you couldn't hear it and seemed to just shake it off, his grip on you tightening as he continued to lug you along behind him though.

Bakugo led you to the elevator at the end of the room and you both entered, him finally seeming to relax a little as he let go of you to press a button for one of the higher floors.

"She seemed to know you pretty well." You decided to say something to break the silence when you looked at the lights above the elevator door, indicating you two weren't even half-way to the floor you guys were supposed to go to.

You glanced at him the corner of your eye.

He wore a tight-lipped scowl, somewhat of a displeased grunt coming from him in response before sighing heavily after seeing that you wouldn't stop staring at him.

"Yeah, well-the old farts have been working here since before I was even born, so the extras around here know me."

"Oh, yeah!!" You exclaimed loud enough for Bakugo to send you a 'Wtf' glare and you smiled at the ground, voice lowering back to its normal volume. "I remember your parents telling me how they got together, ya'know the very first time I went to your house-!" You stopped recalling those happy memories when you noticed Bakugo shift uncomfortably and retreat backwards into the wall.

There was another moment of awkward silence, you two looking away from each other but it didn't last too long because you heard the 'ding' sound which meant you two had arrived at your floor.
