"Ah, here we are." You stepped foot into the Dog Café after Kimchi ran inside and you waved at Todoroki, who was slumped over a small table for two with his drooped head in his hands but had immediately stood up at the sound of you entering.
The happiness on his face fell a few notches when he caught sight of Bakugo, who trudged in after you.
"What's he doing here?" Todoroki couldn't contain the iciness in his tone, his eyes narrowing and following the spiky haired ash blonde.
That's when turquoise and grey eyes met with crimson red eyes.
"Oh. Well-while I was chasing after Kimchi...I ran into Bakugo. His mom had sent him out to fetch some groceries." You decided to leave out the part where you had also ran into a man named Dabi. "And since it was late...he decided to walk me here."
Bakugo clicked his tongue, eyes still in a glare-off with Todoroki. It was true, he decided to walk with you because it was dark and late...but also to interrogate you and try to get some answers out of you about your encounter with Dabi. Unfortunately, no matter how much he yelled or berated you on the trek here, you kept your lip zipped and only ignored his insults. So now, he was in a pissy mood because you were keeping secrets from him, but so be it...
Two can play at being a bitch.
"I found her...trying to hook up with some man."
"What?" Todoroki's eyes forfeited the glaring contest with Bakugo and darted to your form before they grew ten times the size they originally were.
You waved your hands dismissively in front of you before trying to smack Bakugo in the arm, but with his chin up and lip curled into a scowl, he easily leaned back to avoid your hand.
"No! That's not what happened at all!"
"Then...what happened, y/n?" Todoroki blinked a few times, worry flashing through his eyes for a second.
He could sense that something unsettling had happened by observing how your body had tensed up and by the sweat on your brow...and admittedly, by the way Bakugo was acting.
Bakugo seemed unusually calm on the outside. Silent determination emanated from him, even though internally, he was hell-bent on getting to the bottom of things.
"I-" You began, both boys' eyes burning holes on you as you tried to explain yourself, but you were interrupted by the waitress, who was coming out of the kitchen with a smile and squeal.
"Thank you so much for finding and bringing back Kimchi!" She gave a small bow and nod to acknowledge the newcomer, Bakugo, and he replied by crossing his arms and letting out a grunt.
You scratched the side of your cheek with a finger, inwardly thanking her for intruding and getting you out of an unwanted conversation.
"No problem! Even though it was kinda my fault she got out in the first place...since I was holding the door open..."
