Chapter 12: Porcupine

Bakugo looked up, his piercing bright red eyes boring into your soul.

It made you wonder what he was thinking, but you knew you'd never find out because he was stubborn and would probably rather die than talk about his feelings.

In reality, for him, he felt something welling up inside of him. A strange flood of emotions that made him admire someone other than himself for once. He was amazed at your resolve...almost touched. Instead of expressing all of this to you out loud, you simply got a firm nod back from the ash blonde male. No scowl, but a serious look on his face. He felt like he understood you a lot more now.

"And...I'm gonna be the #1 Hero!" You proudly declared, puffing out your cheeks and trying to lighten up the mood.

There it goes.

Bakugo's face dropped, making the wrinkles on his forehead prominent as his scowl reappeared along with his annoyance, before he let out a smirk.

"You're going to have to settle for #2, furball!! Because I'M going to be #1!"

"Oh yeah? If I recall correctly, I was kicking your ass during our fight until you cheated!!"

"I DIDN'T CHEAT!"

"Fine, let's settle this! NO quirks this time!"

Before Bakugo could utter a single sentence in retaliation, you pounced and wrestled him to the ground.

It was all fun and games until you were on top of him and managed to land one solid punch to his face.

He kept his head in place to the side, the lightly tanned skin on his cheek had turned red which he could feel darkening into a bruise.

You froze like a deer in the headlights when he snapped his head, glaring daggers at you before kicking you right in the gut. You recoiled slightly and he took this opportunity to grab you by your wrists and flip you over his head and slam you down onto your back, the impact causing you to let out a spurt.

Why is he so strong?? You thought while a shadow of a person casted over you.

Bakugo was hovering over you, wrangling your wrists above your head. He was looking down at you with that shit eating grin.

You began thrashing from underneath him with no avail at freeing yourself from his hold. Your erratic movements were reduced when he dipped his head closer to yours. You could feel his warm breath, your face instantly flushing at least ten different shades of red.

Bakugo immediately noticed, his eyebrow raised as he moved his head slightly back in a cocked position to inspect your face.

"You having weird thoughts again, cat girl?"

Because he sure was.

As he took the time to take in your delicate facial features, he noticed a few things that he never noticed before.

One was that you had soft smooth skin. Secondly, that you had long fluttery eyelashes. That you also had alluring and fiery e/c eyes that he could get lost in if he wasn't careful. And lastly, full luscious looking lips.

He imagined what they would feel like against his...

You kept your focus on him as you followed his blazing bright red eyes travel from your e/c eyes to your lips.

"N-No!!" You denied with a stutter, finally answering his question which was actually more of an observation.

You tried desperately to avoid staring back at his own slightly chapped but extremely kissable lips, but he caught you.
