Chapter Seventy-Six

If I'd thought the conversation had been awkward before then it definitely was when I'd told Alec everything about what had gone on with Miles. Zayn almost seemed smug yet annoyed with me telling it and my dear English teacher/ possible father's expression seemed to go from surprise to anger, to disbelief. At this point, he probably hoped I wasn't his child. Then to top it all off he told me mom had already told him half of it! I should be angry but at least they talked about me

That was nice to know. Gratifying actually and I would have smiled were it not such a depressing conversation about the state of my life. Then Zayn had to be a jerk and volunteer to tell him all of what had happened yesterday with Miles and Lita. He even smirked while doing so the douche.

"Wow things are so complicated with kids these days," Alec said in shock.

"I think that's just us," I grimaced.

"Well, Ariel it seems to me like you have a lot of things to work out as well. Some of them with Miles."

"That's true," I admitted.

"Again I can't tell you exactly what to do but I really encourage you to do your best to resolve these issues and whatever you think is best."

Right if I knew what was best. I didn't even know what I wanted. I highly doubted I'd be able to talk both of them into leaving their girlfriends and getting into a threesome with me. Sadly that sounded like a disgusting yet intriguing idea. Yeah, I really needed to stop listening to Reggie and Nick.

I had no desire for a threesome with anyone. The only thing I desired right now was some answers and peace of mind. Cleary that was nearly impossible for me to get. I was always having to search or work for it in some way. None of us said anything for a long moment.

"I wish I could help you two more," Alec insisted and I believed him.

"You've done enough," I assured him.

"Thanks," Zayn replied.

"Anytime but if you kids need to do this again let me know ahead of time so I can get a stronger drink." He joked.

Yes, because I was sure coffee wasn't strong enough to sit and listen to two whine teenagers about their love lives. Poor Alec. It must've seemed like watching himself through a mirror today and from what he'd told us, it'd been like this for a while now.

Now to top it all off we'd be late to class and Liam and Maggie would wonder and want an explanation. Not like I could keep this from them but I wasn't sure I could explain what was going on myself. Nor was I sure I wanted to do that in front of Zayn anyway.

"You don't feel bad about what you said? I questioned bravely.

"No, it was the truth."

"I meant about Alec."

"That was the truth too."

"He was trying to help you. To help us." I defended, frowning up at him.

"Doesn't mean it wasn't the truth."

"You don't have to be disrespectful to him or to anyone else like you always are. Especially if they're trying-

"It's none of your damn business," he snapped and I glared up at him.

"You need to stop treating the people who want to help you like-

"I don't need anyone's help. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go see my girlfriend whose about to be late to class herself because I had to waste time because of you."
