Chapter One-Hundred

"So, we're invited to your mom's house, huh?" Adam grinned, leaning across the counter of the bookstore.

I was mentally pinching myself that all that happened today had even happened. Zayn had promised mom and Kaylin he'd talk to his friends about possibly coming and Miles did as well.

Apparently, the adults had agreed to Alec's PG-13 celebration. Something told me it wouldn't even make it to that rating if our lives were a movie. Regardless we were going to his house.

I'd never seen his house as I assumed no one had and this was an opportunity to get to know more about him and see him interact with his friends. I only wished a sober kinder Kenneth could be there as well. However, I was still happy.

Neither Zayn nor Miles had said anything to me when they left and I hadn't known if they were coming or not. Before we left Liam had a private heart-to-heart talk with his mom much to my happiness. Mom and I likely would as well but I didn't think we really needed to. We had our moment up there on that stage.

We'd headed back with our moms to Liam's house and stayed until we got ready for work. I was curious to see if everyone on the invite list would be there. The idea of us all being together would be laughable if it wasn't potentially happening. Oh, the awkward conversations we might have. This would be interesting.

So far work had been pretty food although that could be because I was so happy. Even Pamela commented on my happy demeanor and she congratulated me once I told her everything. It turned out she was also happy to be celebrating her wedding anniversary which would also be exciting.

Maggie was nearby working on an incap as was Emma while Adam and I was tasked with running the register. We'd had a few customers this evening but it had been calm and I was happy about that.

"Actually we decided on Alec's house, I think."

"Alec?" He questioned in confusion.

"Mr. Gray the English teacher."

"Oh him so why are we going to his house?"

"He's my godfather and Liam and Zayns."

"Oh."

"So you all decided you're going then?"

"I heard free food so I'm going."

"The others?"

"Who knows? Probably will but it's going to be a hard sell for some of them. Zayn upset Melinda and Miles upset Lita so you can imagine what's going on there."

"Are they going to apologize you think?"

"They usually do."

"They should," Emma spoke coming over to grab another stack of books.

"I agree," I mentioned.

"Right," she scoffed walking away.

"She really hates me," I sighed.

"Yep but at least she's hot," he shrugged.

"Is that all you ever think about?" Maggie glared coming over to grab a new stack of books.

"You haven't seen her nudes," he chuckled and we glared at him as he chuckled harder.

I couldn't speak from a lot of experience but Miles never asked me to send nudes and I never had. I wondered if he got nudes from Lita. Actually, I wondered if Zayn got them from Melinda. Because I needed to be thinking about someone else's nudes.

"I'm glad Liam doesn't ask me for nudes like that. Do you think he asked Lita?" Maggie whispered.

"I hope my brother hasn't been looking at anyone's nudes," I chuckled.
