Instead of sitting around and waiting for Ella to come back, Brendon took action and followed her. As she stormed down the hall, Brendon was jogging to catch up to her.

Ella pressed the elevator button a couple times, crossing her arms as she waited for the elevator doors to open. Just as they began to open, Brendon grabbed Ella's wrist, making her turn her attention to him.

She looked down at her wrist, then back up at Brendon, who looked like he was begging her to stay. "Why do you not want to be around me, babe? I've changed. I promise."

Ella rolled her eyes, then pulled her wrist free from his grip. "I don't know if I believe you, Brendon. I would love to, but you've showed me what you could do to people a-and I don't want that in my life."

Brendon's heart shattered, but he knew that he wasn't going to stop trying until he got to her. "Ella, please don't leave. I'm sorry for intruding on your date. I-I just want to talk to you and make thigns right."

Part of this was true, but no matter how Ella would react to this, Brendon was going to make sure that she was his and nobody else's.

Ella sighed, then locked eyes with Brendon, looking into those all too familiar brown orbs. "I'll give you this one last chance, Brendon, but you have to promise me that you won't get in the way."

Brendon nodded, pulling her into a hug. "I won't mess this up, Ella. I swear to you that I won't." He took a deep breath in, inhaling her scent. Oh, how he loved her sweet smell.

Ella pulled away, then looked at Brendon once again. A smile tugged on her lips, making Brendon smile right back at her.

Right then and there, Brendon wanted to kiss her so bad, but he knew he would have to wait until Richard was out of the picture.

"Come on. We should head back to the apartment." Ella nodded, then followed Brendon back to the apartment.

Maybe this would be easier than Brendon thought it would be.
