Chapter 25

The next day, Ella walked out of English by herself, not bothering to wait for Kamsi. Ever since they last talked, Kamsi had become wrecked.

She began to drink a lot more and showed up at least an hour late to class. As Ella continued making her way back to her apartment, she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched.

Ella rolled her eyes as she shook that thought away. She knew that her mind was just playing tricks on her and wanted her to have a panic attack right then and there.

When she turned the corner, she bumped into somebody, causing them to drop their books. "Shoot! I'm sorry." 

Ella looked at the person, seeing a man who she could've sworn she's seen before. "I'm sorry, I was standing right behind the corner. Kind of idiotic of me." 

He chuckled, bending down to pick up his books. "Here, let me help you." Ella bent down and picked up some books, holding them out to the man.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it." He looked into her eyes, his electric blue eyes sparking something in her.

Ella stood up and gave him a curt nod, then continued walking back home. She couldn't help but think about those eyes.

Not to mention, the man had silky, brown hair that was gelled back. Ella sighed, knowing that she wouldn't be able to think of where she once saw the man. Also, it seemed like he had no idea who she was.

Little did she know, that man was the infamous friend of Brendon.

Brendon walked down the busy streets of East Lansing, following Ella a few feet back. She had no idea that he was there and he could say thanks to Spencer for that one.

They had come up with a plan to follow her and kidnap her when she wasn't prepared. In order to maintain the space between them, Brendon purposely bumped into people, causing them to glare at him.

As much as it aggravated him, he kept telling himself that it was part of the plan. Once again, Ella got the feeling that she was being watched and looked around, noticing someone behind her who looked like they could be the person watching her.

Not liking the vibe she was getting, Ella picked up speed and began to speed walk. She was about two blocks away from her house, but she still didn't like the fact that she was being followed now.

Brendon noticed her change in speed and decided that it would be best to just grab her and go. He soon began to pick up speed, dodging all the people walking in the opposite direction.

Ella looked back, seeing that Brendon was gone, her heart beating faster and faster. When she turned back around, she gasped, seeing that Brendon was now standing two feet in front of her.

"Well, hello there." Ella backed up, bumping into someone on accident. When she looked back, she saw Spencer behind her, a smirk on his face.

"Ella, I think you need to come with us. There are some things we need to discuss."
