Winter break. The time where you curl up in blankets, watch Christmas movies, and drink hot chocolate. Well, maybe that's the stereotypical way of seeing it.

Ella ran around her dorm room, sipping her coffee as she did so. She was making sure that she had everything in order cause she didn't want to have to drive back here.

Ella patted herself down, making sure she had her phone and wallet. Once she was good to go, she walked out the door and began her shopping day.

Christmas shopping was always a hassle, only because nobody really knew what they wanted. It seemed as though they all had what they needed, but when it came to their birthday, they find something they want.

As soon as Ella got to the mall, she began looking through the sports stores, trying to find her dad's favorite football team's jersey. It was quite hard to find since the player he wanted was quite underrated.

She began to give up hope until she saw it. The jersey sat in the window, the display lights lighting it up. Ella picked up her pace, not wanting anyone to get it before her.

That was never a problem, though. The player was quite unknown and she was doubtful that anyone would want that player's jersey.

Her phone buzzed, but she paid no mind to it. Her eyes were set on that jersey and she was walking out with it one way or another.

Meanwhile, Brendon sat on his couch, looking down at his phone with a smirk on his face. He had sent a simple text to Ella, which he was sure she wouldn't respond to.

A few minutes had passed and he was still waiting for her to text back. His lips curled as he stood up, putting his jacket on. He walked over to the key holder, grabbing his car keys, then walked back to where he was sitting.

Brendon picked up his phone, checking to see if Ella had responded or not. He scoffed, then began to type.

'I'll see you in a few hours, sweetheart'

Back in Wisconsin, Ella smiled as she walked out of the sports store. She pulled out her phone, then opened her notes app, wanting to shop for Kamsi.

As she scrolled through her notes, she saw a notification from her text messages show up. She furrowed her eyebrows, then opened the messages.

"No, no, no! Shoot!" Ella had seen that Brendon texted her just about ten minutes ago. It was too late to say anything because he was most likely on his way.

Ella sighed, cursing at herself mentally. She had thought about going home, but then she realized that Brendon could find her. That's when she decided to test that claim.
