Sera's friends were already eating together on the table. There was Roland, Evie, and Terrence
"Hi guys! Is it ok if John joins us for today?" Sera asked, but when she took a glance at John, it was already clear that he didn't want any of this
"Sure! I don't see any problem with that!" Evie replied with her bright smile
"...Thanks" John thanked her with a blank expression
When John sat down, Sera began to introduce them one by one by telling him their names. But she noticed something off with Terrence
Huh? Why is Terrence's face so pale? Is he nervous or something?
"Hey Terrence... Are you alright?" I asked
"H-Huh? Oh yeah... It's nothing" Terrence replied, after snapping back to reality
Talking about introductions, Sera realized that she doesn't even know what abilities they all have
Come to think of it... I don't even know what their abilities are. Is it okay if I ask them about it? I mean... We're supposed cripples anyway so they wouldn't be shy to tell us
"Actually... I've been wondering. What abilities do you guys have? It's okay no need to be nervous, we're cripples anyway" Sera asked with that blatant lie
"Oh! Okay! I can basically blind people if their eyes meets my hand! Its kinda stupid though hahaha....." Evie awkwardly laughed
"Hmm...I thought it was cool" Sera replied, and switched her sight to Terrence "What about you Terrence?"
"Uhm... I don't feel so good right now. I'll go to the infirmary for a bit. Catch you later!" Terrence said while hastily running off the cafeteria
"Huh? Was I a bit too straightforward?"
"No Seraphina... it's okay! In fact, this is actually unlike him at all" Roland assured
John's vision was locked on to Terrence that is walking off. Terrence was definitely acting suspicious in his eyes, even though this was the first time they met
10:14 AM | Empty School Hallway
Isen and Blyke were just chatting in the hallways after class "UGH... That class was so dead! The teacher was soo boring" Said Isen after he yawned
"It's probably because you don't understand what he's teaching at all... Idiot"
Isen clenched his fists "Shut up... You nerd"
"HEY GUYS!" A familiar voice shouted from a distance far away behind their backs, and they both turned around
"Remi? So you made it out alive!" Said Blyke sarcastically, but deep down, he felt relieved
"Yep! and we succeeded in capturing Volcan! Isn't that amazing?" Remi happily said, and the boys snapped their eyes wide open. The way Remi said that made it seem like it was too easy
"So John actually did help you? Why would a monster like that help you anyway?" Isen asked in disbelief
"John is not the person you think he is... In fact, I should actually be blaming you guys" Remi emphasized, and her friend was left puzzled
"Remi... did you forget what he did to us?" Isen irritatingly asked, remembering the times they got sent to the hospital. But Remi mentioned some incidents prior to when John revealed his powers. The time Isen broke his arm after interrogating him, and how Blyke shot his beam to John's head
"But Remi... He tried to slap you in the face that day!" Blyke replied, as a defense
"Yes but you didn't have to aim at his head... What if he didn't dodge? He would've been dead!" Anyway... I've now realised what I should do from this point and moving forward"
"And what's THAT?"
"We have to FIX this school"
