The next day, 12:07 PM, School Cafeteria

Sera POV

I was just spacing out in the cafeteria while eating my lunch alone

Why won't Leilah help me get my ability back? Does she hate the family? Or is there something else

I can't really say that I'm close with my sister. Back when I was in middle school, My parents always made me focus on my studies. Therefore I didn't spent too much time with my sister back then, and I didn't know why I actually listened to my parents that time. Maybe it was just because I didn't know anything better than to listen to my parents.

Sometimes Leilah would come to my room and asked me if I wanted to hang out with her.But I couldn't, There wasn't any dormitories at my middle school back then. So I used to live at home and my parents were there so it didn't feel like I had freedom

"Hey Sera! You wanna go to the mall or something?:)" Said Leilah

"Uhm... But I need to study for the next test"

"Aw come on... I get that you have a test coming up, but you don't have to study this hard you know? You need to study life itself... Learn how to enjoy your own life" Leilah Stated

"O-Okay I'll go"

I suddenly heard someone else coming in

"Leilah, can't you see that your little sister is studying? Please let her study" Said Mother

"*sigh* FINE"

Leilah looked very mad and looked like she wants to say something. But it was probably because I was in the room as well that at the time so she didn't get angry at mom

My sister was like John, very annoying and stupid back at the time. What would happen if I was actually close with her? Would I have spent time with her like I do with John?

Now that I think about it. Why does our parents push the studies only to me, and not Leilah as well?

I remember the last time I saw her was that she was having an argument with mother at the front door. Leilah was ready to leave the house at the time

"What more do you want! I'm a high-tier now am I not? I'm now even stronger than you! Why do you STILL think I'm a failure?" Said Leilah angrily

"That is EXACTLY why, Leilah... It's your way of thinking that's now the problem. Late-bloomers always tend to fail. Your way of thinking is irregular compared to an actual high-tier" Said mother

Leilah looked even more raged than she already was. She was about to slap our mother with her ability active but stopped midway. I think it was because Leilah saw me. She then left the house

"Goodbye....." That was the last word I heard from Leilah

I never really understood what mother meant by that

While I was spacing out I heard Evie calling me

"Hey Seraphina" She said while sitting down with her lunch

"Hey Evie... Where's Roland?"

"Oh, He said that he wanted to do his assignments at the library. By the way, have you seen Terrence? He's kinda acts different nowadays. Do you think he's avoiding us?" Evie asked

Remi did say that Terrence is doing all this to help his family... So I guess I can't really blame him for that, now that I know how low-tiers have a hard time living life itself.

"No, I haven't seen him at all actually"
