7:46 PM, In the middle of nowhere

John POV

I was  rushing back to Wellston while carrying the still unconscious Remi using the power that I got when I suddenly couldn't move back then

Wow, this ability is something else... Right now, I might be moving 5x faster than the train itself. Not only that... I can also pause time at such a wide radius around me. I feel like I can do ANYTHING with just this ability alone. Wait a second.... This ability seems familiar!

The fact that I can pause time...

The grey-scaled vision that I saw

and the ability to move at the speed of light...

and to be able to rewind as well!

It all resembles Sera's ability... There's NO WAY right?

7:55 PM, Wellston Girls Dormitories

I was trying to find Elaine to get a hold of her ability. I already laid down Pinky in Blyke's bed. I also already put my mask and hat off beforehand

*knock**knock*

"Coming!"

"John? What's up? Oh look! You actually decided to wear what I got for you!" Said Sera

"Hey Sera... There's a slight problem. Where's Elaine?"

"Oh... Elaine is just at the kitchen right now cooking for us. What's wrong?"

"You see... Pinky is injured while we were out there looking for EMBER... And I wanted to heal Pinky with Elaine's ability to keep Elaine in the dark. Elaine'll definitely tell Arlo straight away if she knows"

"W-What? O-Okay... Elaine?! Can you come here for a second?"

"Okay! One second!"

Once Elaine showed up, she was surprised to see John

"J-John? What's going on here?" Asked Elaine surprised

"Elaine... Activate your ability" I demanded

"W-What? Why do you want me to activate my ability? N-No one's injured"

"Elaine... Please. Can you do it?" Asked Sera

"O-Okay sure"

I activated my ability as soon as she activated hers. I then decided to go straight back to Pinky

"Wait John... I'll come with you" Said Sera

Wellston Boys Dormitories

"What happened to her?" Asked Sera

"She couldn't handle the enemy. In fact, she couldn't even get the chance to handle. Her face got slammed to the wall before she even knew it"

"That's horrible...."

I then healed Pinky. It took me about 20 seconds to get her to wake up

Remi POV

"Remi! You're awake!" Said Sera

"Ughhh.... Huh? What happened? Where is this?"

"You're in Blyke's room at the moment. John told me that you got injured out there"

"What? Really? ARGH!" I suddenly felt like my head was going to burst open

I then attempted to touch my forehead just to realise that there's blood on my head streaming down to my nose

"B-Blood? John... W-What happened to me back there?" I asked nervously

"That doesn't matter... The only thing that matters is that you won't be coming with me EVER again. You got that?" Said John which then left the room by his own 

*SLAM* the door closed

...................

"Haha. He's acting like he's pissed but deep down he cared about you. He's actually starting to change bit by bit" Said Seraphina while smiling

"But all I showed him was that I was useless out there..." I said

"Don't say that. I'm sure he realises by now that you're actually giving it your all and that you actually care"
